Many Christian Churches all over the world demand for a mandatory tithe of all the monetary incomes from their members. These Churches always justify their demand for these tithes by using the following 4 unbiblical pro-tithing teachings:(i) Tithing is the only way through which the gospel of Jesus Christ can be financed and propagated all over the world. (ii) Tithing was commanded and is made mandatory for all Christians. (iii) Any refusal by a Christian to tithe will result in the personal destruction of that Christian's finances by the devourers that God will send. That particular Christian who refused to tithe will be guilty of the sin of divinely robbing God and a divine curse from God will be placed upon the life of that defiant Christian. (iv) Tithing is the divine key and the godly secrets to solving the problem of abject poverty and to enjoying high finances, divine blessings and good health in the life of any Christian.
An objective study of the entire New Testament Bible that depicted the history of the Christian early Churches and the gospel of Jesus Christ that was preached successfully all over the entire Roman Empire did not show that tithes were needed, collected and used to finance and to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ in the 1st century human world. The preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ that officially started on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem and continued to the end of the Book of Revelation (a divine revelation that was revealed to Apostle John in AD96 at Isle of Patmos) that showed the full history of the Early Christians or Church did not show any single biblical evidence of tithing anywhere.
In conclusion, there is no single biblical evidence of tithing ever practiced once or regularly in the entire early Church according to the accounts of the New Testament Bible, but the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the same New Testament Bible and from the many credible, reliable and secular historical records of that era showed clearly beyond any single doubt that the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached successfully and worldwide in the entire Roman Empire that ruled the whole world of that time without using the tithes of the early Church or Christians to finance and to propagate this gospel.
"And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down (global impacts of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Roman Empire without any evidence of tithing) are come hither also" - Acts 17:6. The paraphrase is mine own addition.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver" - 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV Translation).
"He that oppresses the poor to increase his riches, and he that gives to the rich, shall surely come to want" - Proverbs 22:16.
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ" - 2 Corinthians 11:13.
