ARE CHRISTIAN PRAYERS DESIGNED PRIMARILY FOR SOLVING ALL HUMAN PROBLEMS?

Prayer is very central to the entire Christian faith, the Christian way of life or the Christian journey of faith. The New Testament Bible commands Christians to become prayer warriors, pray always and without ceasing. Jesus Christ who is our perfect example to imitate  lived a life of prayer. The apostles of Jesus Christ and the early Church prayed and their prayers resulted in the direct manifestations of the many divine signs, miracles and mighty wonders. Prayer is the primary means of communicating with God directly. Prayer is the divine avenue that allows God's perfect will to become a true reality on earth. Prayer allows God to intervene directly in the affairs of men in this life. Prayer is equally important to Christians just like the word of God for a glorfying Christian lifestyle on earth.

Are prayers primarily designed by God for solving all human needs, problems and challenges? Can prayers be used as the only primary substitute for all things in this life? Do we have to pray about everything in this life? Does everything in this life require prayers? Are prayers limited in power and efficacy? What are the things that we should pray for in this life? What are the things that we should not pray for in this life? How do we pray? Do we have any biblical guidelines or directives to follow when we pray? What can prayers do in this life? What can prayers not do in this life? What is God's perfect will in prayer? How can we know God's perfect will that we must pray about in prayers?

Prayer is a divine way that is designed for Christians to communicate directly with God. Christian prayers are directed to our heavenly Father in the precious name of his son who is also our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and through the power, the guidance and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In prayer, we depend totally on the grace and the mercy of God. Prayer is an indication that man is powerless, hopeless, helpless and totally weak over his own life situations and circumstances. Prayer is when a weak man depends totally on the omnipotent power of the all knowing and all present God to intervene directly in the affairs of this life. God answers prayers that are in line with his perfect will that will glorify the name of his son Jesus Christ forever. Prayer is not one solution to all problems of this life that mankind has or faces. Christian must identify clearly what to pray for and what not to pray for in this life. The Christian journey of faith must be approached with a balanced. Prayer has its rightful place in our Christian journey of faith and prayer is not everything in this life.

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures - James 4:3 (NIV Translation).
