"GLOBAL TERRORISM:AMERICA'S APPROACH CAN BE A LESSON FOR NIGERIA"

After the terrorist attacks of 9/11 that killed about 3,000 Americans and other nationals with over $2.2 trillion in the economic damages or losses. The American government under the former President George Bush Jr and the current President Barack Obama have successfully prevented all the planned domestic attacks by Al Queda and its international affiliates inside America for over twelve years now. The United States also succeeded in killing Osama Bin Laden who was the worst's most dangerous terrorist and the other terrorist leaders around the world by destroying their abilities to organise any future terrorist attacks inside America successfully.

Does American government protect the life and the properties of her citizens and residents by asking American Churches and Christians to pray only without any physical actions on the ground from the government security and intelligence agencies? Can our Nigerian leaders learn from these successful stories instead of their present apathy, helplessness state, mediocrity, arrogance and ignorance on how to fight Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria successfully in this 21st century human universe?

Terrorism can never be fought successfully with prayers alone in this 21st century world. The Nigerian government's primary responsibility to all Nigerians is to protect the life and the properties of all the Nigerian citizens and her residents. What is the purpose of having a government in power in Nigeria in the first place that all Nigerians pay their income taxes to that cannot guarantee their security and safety? Why should Nigerians continue to support the government of President Jonathan Goodluck that controls their oil wealth and natural resources but cannot protect them from the terrors and genocides of the Boko Haram in the Northern Nigeria?.

A continuos failure on the part of the government to guarantee the protection of the precious life and the properties of the Nigerian citizens and residents will eventually lead the whole nation to the era of lawlessness and the rule of brutalities that this nation has never seen before or experienced in the past. I hope President Jonathan Goodluck will learn from the American government successful stories on how to effectively fight terrorism or Boko Haram in Nigeria in this 21st century.
