"MY FIRST DIRECT ENCOUNTER WITH ELECTION RIGGING IN NIGERIA IN 1983"

My first paid job in Nigeria as a teenager after graduating from high school was to work as a polling clerk in the Nigeria's 1983 elections that was coordinated by the then electoral body, the FEDECO. I saw for the first time in my life as a young high school leaver how massive electoral frauds were carried out in favor of the then NPN federal government through the bribing of those electoral officials by the heavily corrupt NPN politicians. The personal intimidation and threats of the FEDECO polls workers who refused to fall in line by the Nigerian Police men that were officially assigned to maintain law and order during voting were visible everywhere. The NPN polling agents that represented those politicians that were running for those elective offices worked hand-in-hand with the police to do their dirty job. That election did not reflect the majority will of the Nigerian voters. Actual voting did not take place in Nigeria in 1983. I knew then as a teenager that Nigeria was practicing a sham electoral process and a pseudo-democracy. That experience was my first direct encounter with those corrupt politicians and with the election rigging in Nigeria. The ordinary Nigerians knew at that time that something drastic was about to happen in Nigeria except the corrupt politicians and their cronies who thought that all ws well with them. We woke up four months later on December 31, 1983 to the military martial music on the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in Lagos announcing the overthrow of the government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari. There were celebrations and jubilations all over Nigeria. That coup was welcome by Nigerians. There were no single reported or recorded demonstration against this military takeover in Nigeria in 1983. ‪#‎EntryFromMyPersonalDiaryOnNigerianElection‬

"THE 7 REASONS THAT JUSTIFIED THE NIGERIA'S MILITARY COUP OF 1983"

(i). Alhaji Shehu Shagari swept back into power in his reelection in 1983 that was tagged Verdict 83. That election was not free, fair, credible and transparent, but was marred with massive electoral frauds and the suppression of the opposition political parties and their supporters at the polls. (ii). Nigeria's national economy was in a terrible mess. The oil boom of the 1970s had ended. The Nigeria's huge external debt stood at $14 billion and was no longer sustainable at the price that the Nigeria's oil sold for at that time. (iii). The menace of the official corruption had reached the highest government levels and was widespread. (iv). Acute food shortages were visible across Nigeria. (v). Nigeria was facing chronic unemployment and coupled with over 2 million illegal immigrants from the West African states that were living and working in Nigeria illegally. (vi). The health and the educational services across Nigeria were collapsing. Hospitals across Nigeria became mere consulting clinics. Teachers in many states were not paid their monthly salaries for many months. Many trade unions in Nigeria were on job boycott for months to press for better wages and benefits. (vii). Nigeria at that time was bedeviled by tribal animosity that threatened the unity of Nigeria and the peaceful coexistence of her ethnic nationalities.
The approach that the then reelected government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari took to address these national crises by announcing austerity measures and forcefully expelling the 2 million illegal immigrants from Nigeria did not solve any of these national problems. Nigeria in 1983 was at the crossroad of her existence, her democracy was already destroyed by the politicians with official corruption and election rigging. The tens of millions of ordinary Nigerians were suffering, helpless and powerless to change the situation they faced. Their votes did not count in the reelection of those politicians in 1983. The politicians had divided Nigerians using electoral rigging, politics of ethnicity and religion. Nigeria was at her final breaking point as a nation. The signs were loud and clear enough for any reasonable Nigerians to see. The Nigerian military came in on December 31, 1983 to save Nigeria from her self-induced miseries and ultimate collapse as a nation. The military government then appointed General Muhammadu Buhari to lead that government as the Nigeria's Head of State.

"NIGERIA'S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2015:NAIRA POWER VERSUS PEOPLE'S POWER"

These two candidates who are vying in the 2015 presidential election in Nigeria are using different political and campaign strategies to raise money and to reach the Nigerian voters who will determine their fate in that election that is slated for next year. The incumbent President Jonathan Goodluck relies on the Nigeria's tax payer money that came from the federal agencies and the PDP state governorsas well as the huge monetary donations from the handful of his moneybags friends and business beneficiaries of his government economic policies, who are the major players in the oil, gas, telecommunication, banking and power sectors of Nigeria. These handful of Nigerians raised N21.27 billion ($117 million) so far for this President's reelection in 2015.
On the other hand, General Muhammadu Buhari has so far raised N54 million ($300,000) for his presidential campaign by depending solely on the meagre donations from the ordinary Nigerians into his Buhari Support Organisations (BSO) that has 475,796 coordinators and a total membership in the region of 8,492, 226 across the country. President Jonathan Goodluck is fighting for his reelection with the tens of billions of Naira in his campaign coffers and General Muhammadu Buhari is fighting to defeat this incumbent President with the support and votes from the millions of army of volunteers across Nigeria. President Jonathan Goodluck believes in the Naira power to win his reelection and General Muhammadu Buhari believes in the people's power to win this election. Will the 67 million electorates of Nigeria vote for the Naira power or the people's power on February 14, 2015? Only time and future events will surely tell.‪#‎NairaPowerVersusPeoplePower

IS GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI OF NIGERIAN AN ILLITERATE AS CLAIMED BY THE PDP? - DR. HASSAN

I was shocked to read a press statement from Wadata Plaza issued by a so called Professor Wale Oladipo, secretary of the PDP, saying that General Muhammadu Buhari is a semi illiterate jackboot. It is no wonder that our education system has fallen so low, else how can one explain a professor making such a statement? How did Wale Oladipo become a professor to start with? It is quite astonishing that he can say this. The professor doesn’t seem to understand the basic rudiments of learning and what it means for one to be literate or not.
Buhari attended the best military schools in the world. In case the professor doesn’t know, Buhari graduated as a military officer (Lieutenant) in Royal Military Academy, Aldeshot UK. He attended the Defense College India.  Col Buhari attended the US Army War College Carlisle in Pennsylvania from 1979 -1980 and earned his command as a Brigadier General. The respected General Collin Powel attended the same school in 1976 to become Brigadier General. Some of Buhari’s classmates include General Beltson, General Thomas P Carney, General Bill Matz, General David E.K. Cooper etc. all of them are alive and can be reached and they will give glowing tributes of the man, Buhari, they know as their classmate.
Anyone interested in verifying Buhari’s academic credentials can write the school instead of reading jargon from a deranged Wadata Plaza Professor of Politics of Destruction Party (PDP). I have checked Google Scholar hoping that Prof. Wale Oladipo’s name and publications will show up and nothing is showing up, that says a lot about him as a Professor than Buhari as a retired decorated General who served his country so well and has not claimed any scholarship.
The curriculum at the U.S. Army War College earns one a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies and that is what Buhari has. For somebody to claim that a graduate of such a prestigious school is semi-illiterate, means something is very wrong with that person’s brain. By all academic and military standards, Buhari’s   education is superb and the best any general can get in the world. Therefore, for Wale Oladipo to claim Buhari is semi-illiterate speaks volumes about his understanding of what education is even all about. The unlearned professor thinks education is about earning paper degrees only, and even if it was the case, Buhari has them from the most respected military institutions in the world.
General Muhammadu Buhari has the kind of military strategic education and experience to deal a decisive blow on Boko Haram and end the insecurity challenges facing Nigeria. Buhari is the only army officer with the opportunity to command 3 out of 4 Nigeria’s army divisions as a GOC.
In 1983, when rebels from Chad took over our land, seizing more than 19 villages (much like what the Boko Haram is doing now), Major General Buhari led a successful operation as the GOC to push back the Chadian rebels and reclaim our territory.
In 1984, when the Maitatsine sect decided to declare war on Nigeria like what Boko Haram is doing now, Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari wasted no time in crushing them. Boko Haram is a descendant of the Maitatsine sect with the same extremist ideology and anti-western education philosophy. It is surely President Buhari that will be able to handle them: eliminating these terrorists when he comes to power like he did before. Muhammadu Buhari as a captain fought in the Congo Civil War and won the Congo Medal. He was there during our civil war to bring peace and keep Nigeria one. That is true patriot: a man that gave his life to another country not only his fatherland.
Since the goons in Wadata Plaza have started the literacy debate, it is very appropriate to ask them that they produce Dr. Goodluck Jonathan’s Ph.D thesis and publications in renowned journals. Goodluck’s speeches, attitude, and interviews with international media don’t portray him as a Ph.D holder. His past interview with Christiane Amanpour was quite embarrassing; he couldn’t even make eye contact with her. Nigerians are eager to read his thesis and publications.
In conclusion, it is obvious to all Nigerians that the PDP government and its illiterate professor are only interested in playing dirty politics with the  lives and properties of Nigerians. Nigerians now need Buhari, a man with international military education and experience, a seasoned administrator with zero tolerance for corruption to end this insecurity, bring prosperity, and place Nigeria at the seat it deserves in the comity of nations - From newsrescue.com

"TWO DIFFERENT VISIONS FOR NIGERIA IN 2015"

The ways that the two candidates in the Nigeria's presidential election of 2015 are raising their campaign money shows clearly that they have different visions for Nigeria and they will be representing two groups of Nigerians in their governments if they are elected next year. President Jonathan Goodluck has demonstrated to Nigerians that the tens of millions of ordinary Nigerians are not important to him, his reelection and his future administration or government. The estimate N21.27 billion or $117 million for this President reelection funds came mainly from the corporate Nigeria, state owned corporations, PDP state governors, the richest Nigerians and multinational corporations who are the main beneficiaries from the economic policies of this President for the last six years and through the dirty oil subsidy deal, oil bloc allocation, privatization of the oil and power sectors, oil theft or bunkering, import duty waiver, over-invoicing of imports, tax evasion, money laundering, official corruption and the monopoly of the telecommunication sector.
In the case of General Muhammadu Buhari, his campaign will be financed by the tens of millions of ordinary Nigerians through their meagre donations as low as N100 or $5.5 per person. The way and the manner that this General Muhammadu Buhari is generating his campaign funds show that his proposed government or administration if elected next year with have economic policies in place that will redistribute the Nigeria's wealth, close the income inequality, reduce the national poverty rate and open the economic opportunities to the ordinary Nigerians. The Nigerian voters are now presented by two distinct, different and competing visions for their one country. I hope that every eligible Nigerian voter will make a well informed decision on February 14, 2015 at the polls and will also vote for his or her own self interest and future in Nigeria. I am also hoping that this government of President Jonathan Goodluck, the INEC and the Nigerian security forces and her state agencies that are in charge of this election will allow every registered Nigerian voter to vote freely in an election that should be of international standard, credible, fair, transparent, free and all-inclusive" #‎TwoDifferentVisionsForNigeriaIn2015‬

"THE REELECTION OF PRESIDENT JONATHAN GOODLUCK OF NIGERIA IN 2015 IS A DAUNTING TASK"

The easy reelection of President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria back to the Aso Rock villa in 2015 in a free, fair, transparent, credible and all-inclusive election is a daunting task. The year 2011 when this man was new on the national political stage of Nigeria and he promised Nigerians heaven on earth if he was elected into power is now very different from the year 2014. Time and events of the last four years in the governance of Nigeria under the watch of this man have both shaped and defined his presidency clearly to the Nigerian voters. The electorates that will be voting in 2015 are now in a better position in the year 2014 than in the year 2011 to make a well informed political decision with their votes.
.
This President is running for his reelection with a political party, the PDP that is no longer the same party that he won his presidency with in 2011. The PDP has lost the speaker of the House of Representatives, five state governors, several members of the national and state assemblies and party leaders at national, state and local levels mainly to the opposition party, the APC. The political landscape in 2011 is now totally different from that of 2014 when this President ran against many smaller political parties and very weak opposition. Today, this President will be running against the united opposition parties, the APC that now has national spread and massive support base across Nigeria. The failure of this President in his war against Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East region of Nigeria despite the yearly billions of dollar that are allocated for the defense of Nigeria, the international scandal that surrounded the kidnapping of the over 200 school girls at Chibok and the daily bombings of innocent Nigerians that have now claimed 15,000 souls are huge political baggages into the 2015 election that this President can never sweep under the carpet.

The recent global drop in the price of oil that has resulted in the quick declining of the Nigeria's economy and the rapid collapse of the Naira are part of the legacies of this President for his reelection in 2015. This President has also failed to address the double-digit youth unemployment rate and the provision of electricity for Nigerians as he promised in 2011. The government has failed woefully to address the issue of official corruption in Nigeria and has been clouded with many financial scandals, such as, the missing $20 billion oil money, the billion of dollar in the Malibu oil deal, allegations of corruption against the members of this President's executive council as well as top public officials in his government. The truth is that Nigeria today is now worse than the Nigeria that was handed over in 2011 to this President to govern. Finally, the most important question that every Nigerian voter must answer before they cast their votes in 2015 is this:Are Nigerians truly better off today than in 2011? Nigerian voters may answer this question on February 14, 2015 #FailedPresidencyOfJonathanGoodluckOfNigeria -

"THE TEN REASONS WHY THE NIGERIAN NAIRA WILL CONTINUE TO DEPRECIATE AGAINST THE DOLLAR"

Firstly, the value of the Nigerian Naira is based on the global demand and the supply of the goods and services that Nigeria has to offer to the world. Secondly, the only product that the global market buys from Nigeria is her oil. Thirdly, the drop in the global price of this oil is an indication that Nigeria's oil is now less in demand. Fourthly, the decision to devalue the Nigerian Naira by 8% recently has not safe the Naira and has failed to prevent the rapid fall of the Naira against the American dollar. Fifthly, the periodical method of using the Nigeria's foreign reserves to support the Naira is not the answer and is not working. Sixthly, the Naira will continue to fall and the Nigeria's foreign reserves will also continue to be depleted. Seventhly, another major reason why the Naira will continue to crash is because the Nigeria's economy is almost 100% import oriented. Eighthly, all the basic things that Nigerians need and use are all imported. Ninthly, the importers need the American dollar to import those goods and services from the international markets to Nigeria. Tenthly, more Naira is now chasing fewer American dollar in the banks and the black market of Nigeria.

How then can Nigeria safe her economy and the Naira? Firstly, the government should allow the Naira to fall freely without supporting it until it founds its own level in the hands of the economic forces of demand and supply. Secondly, Nigeria must now diversify her national economy from the oil export into an economy than depends on taxation, agriculture, manufacturing, international tourism, solid mineral prospecting and export based. Thirdly, Nigeria must cut down the cost of governance that consumes about 30% of the annual federal budget to about 15%. Lastly, the leakages in the national economy must be stopped immediately, such as, official corruption, resource wastage and mismanagement, oil theft, money laundering, over-invoicing of imports, tax loopholes that corporations and wealthy Nigerians use to escape payment of their taxes and the shady import duty waivers ‪#‎HowToSafeTheNigerianNaira‬

"THE REASONS WHY AMERICAN JURY SYSTEM IS FAILING TO DELIVER TRUE JUSTICE"

The use of the grand jury in the America's judiciary system did not indict the white police officer, Darren Wilson over the killing of the unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown in Ferguson last week. The similar type of jury also failed to indict the white police officer, Daniel Pantaleo who choked Eric Garner to his death in New York city. The jury system in America will never give the true justice that the affected families of these dead men and most Americans are looking for in many of these cases for four main reasons. Firstly, the grand jury operates in secret. The evidences that are normally put before the jury by the local district prosecutors are not made public. The local prosecutor solely guides the entire operation of the grand jury.
Secondly, the local district attorney decides what charges to be brought or not to be brought before the grand jury, which in the final analysis will determine the final outcome or decision of the grand jury. Thirdly, there is a big conflict of political interest between the local police departments and the local district prosecutors across United States. The local police departments across America work hand-in-hand with the local district prosecutors as law enforcement partners in the prosecution of all the local civil and criminal cases in their jurisdictions. The police provides the local prosecutors with those evidences that they need to successfully prosecute all the local cases in their jurisdictions.
The office of the local district prosecutor is an elective position in many states across America. Most of the elections of these local district prosecutors in America are normally supported and sponsored by the local police unions and fraternities. Lastly, It is almost impossible for a local district prosecutor to bring up charges before a jury that will indict a police officer in his or her district. It is like a case of a house that is divided against itself. The only hope for true justice will be from an outside intervention like the United States Department of Justice that has no conflict of interest‪#‎NoJusticeNoPeace‬

"THE COMMONSENSE ECONOMIC POLICY THAT NIGERIA NEEDS TODAY"

I am not an economist by training, but a physicist. I know how to make the Nigerian economy stronger and her Naira powerful. I am ready to give the inept, visionless, mediocre and the corrupt Nigerian government this advice free of charge. Firstly, Nigerian government must fight the cancer of official corruption, state resource mismanagement, money laundering, tax evasion by corporations, over-invoicing of imports, smuggling of goods across our porous borders, oil theft via oil bunkering and the shady import duty waivers to their death.

Secondly, the size of the government and her expenses must be drastically reduced. The government must cut the huge salaries and allowances that are paid to the Nigerian state officials, including their foreign vacations and foreign health care expenses. Thirdly, the government must diversify the Nigerian economy from the present oil-dependent into the agricultural, manufacturing, solid mineral, international tourism, export-dependent economy and tax-based revenue generating economy.

This type of economy will feed the Nigerians without any need for food importation. This type of economy will create millions of good paying jobs for Nigerians that cannot be outsourced abroad. The type of economy will provide the needed raw materials for our local manufacturing sector. This type of economy that is tax based will generate more reliable revenue for the government than the oil-dependent economy that is always subjected to the global demand and supply for oil. Finally, the security of life and properties of all Nigerians will be needed to grow this type of economy that is not from the IMF, World Bank, London Club and Paris Club.‪#‎CommonSenseEconomicPolicy‬

"PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA DESTABILIZED THE POLITICAL AGENDA OF GOP CONGRESS"

The decision of President Barack Obama to invoke his executive power that is granted to him in the American constitution to announce the several new measures that will address the immigration crisis in America has a lot of political implications and consequences from now till 2016.

How will the GOP controlled US Congress react to this huge political development? Will GOP enact its own immigration law to make the Obama's new immigration policy of no effect, null and void? Will GOP response with an impeachment move on this President? Will GOP go ahead to shut down the federal government again like the way they did in 2013 over Obamacare? Will GOP continue to be the obstructive party in the US Congress that will not pass any bill into law nor work on any compromise bill with this President? Will GOP continue with their political agendas, such as, the Keystone XL pipeline proposed project, privatization of social security, medicare and medicaid, defunding of Obamacare and providing tax reform for the big corporations and wealthy Americans and without touching the comprehensive immigration bill?

No matter what the new GOP controlled US Congress decides to do with their majority in the US Congress for the next two years will not prevent their party from paying the huge price for refusing to do nothing with the immigration reform bill at the polls in 2016 and for many years to come from the highly disappointed Hispanic-American voting bloc that is now the fastest growing voting population in America #ObamaIsAShrewdPolitician

HOW IN THE WORLD DID JONATHAN GOODLUCK BECOME THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA?

This man is totally helpless on how to truly lead this great nation as its leader. This man continues to make flimsy excuses for his own failures and his inability to solve our important national problems as a nation for the last four years in power. This man runs away from all his constitutional responsibilities as our President. This man lives in the direct fear of some of the Nigeria's most dubious businessmen, oil thieves and the corrupt politicians. This man does not deserve another term in the Aso Rock villa in 2015. This man is not the messiah that Nigeria needs. A vote to reelect this man is a vote to destroy Nigeria further. This man has no solutions at hand to address the menace of the Boko Haram terrorism, the massive official corruption in Nigeria under his watch, the mammoth state resource mismanagement, the massive illegal oil bunkering and the huge youth unemployment in Nigeria today.
Here are some of the responses of this President to a CNN interview in 2013:"Oil theft is not done by petty thieves but by big people and exporters, to end it, we need the assistance of our foreign country friends and refiners to stop accepting stolen crude. In addition, we have committees on the issue who meet regularly"
"People who talk about corruption in oil industry are mainly those who fail to get oil blocks, contracts and favours"
"Corruption is not our No 1 problem. Some people are taking stealing money as corruption, when you steal money you are a thief"
"Those who are calling for probe of Abuja massacre do not mean well for Nigeria"
"Minister of Defence is not important, it is the service chiefs who handle defence"
"People that say that (Nigeria is bankrupt) are playing politics with what they should not play politics with"
"You don't just wake up and say we are bankrupt as a senior citizen. You must say the parameters you used"
"I did not expect ASUU strike to last 3 months, I think politics is creeping into ASUU"
"Crisis in a developing country will continue. These are things you expect in developing countries"
"On the over all, before the PDP administration even directors had no mobile phones but with the PDP admin of Obj all have phones"

"HISTORY MAY SOON REPEAT ITSELF IN NIGERIA IN 2015"

Jonathan Goodluck, the President of Nigeria is now playing a similar script to the one that Alhaji Shehu Shagari played as the President of Nigeria in the second republic. That democracy under the leadership of Alhaji Shehu Shagari was marred with huge official corruption, mammoth state resource mismanagement, unabated oil theft, smuggling, over-invoicing of imports, shady import duty waivers, money laundering, massive electoral fraud, rising national debt, collapsing state infrastructures, health care and social services, all forms of anti-democratic practices, lawlessness, rapid depletion of the Nigeria's foreign reserves, depreciation of the value of the Nigerian Naira, workers working unpaid for months, rising national poverty rate and unemployment rate, falling rate of the standard of living of Nigerians, unabated inflation rate on goods and services, waves of national insecurity to life and properties of Nigerians and a collapsing national economy with austerity measures firmly in place. I hope this government will not end up like the government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Time will surely tell. ‪#‎AMomentOfDeepReflectionOnTheFutureOfNigeria‬

"NIGERIA FACES BIG FINANCIAL CRISIS AS THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2015 DRAWS CLOSER"

The oil-dependent economy of Nigeria is now collapsing under the corrupt, spend-thrift, inept, insensitive and mediocre presidency of Jonathan Goodluck. The price of one barrel of oil in the international markets has now dropped from about $100 a barrel to below $80 a barrel because the global oil supply is now more than the global oil demand.
Nigeria's savings or her foreign reserves is rapidly declining side by side with the falling oil prices. The value of the Nigerian Naira is also depreciating against the major international currencies of the world. The Nigeria's foreign debt which is rated in American dollar is also rising. Borrowing of more money to run Nigeria by mortgaging the future of this nation to the international lenders is the only viable option on the desk of this visionless President of Nigeria
This President has mismanaged the Nigeria's economy in the last four years through the culture of official corruption, state resource mismanagement, oil theft, over-invoicing of imports, shady import-duty waivers, tax evasion by corporations and big businesses, money laundering through Nigeria's banks, Malibu oil scandal, the missing $20 billion oil money from the NNPC and the huge cost of governance (many foreign trips by this President and his officials, foreign health care expenditures of state officials and huge salaries and allowances that are paid to Nigerian public officials).
The tens of millions of ordinary Nigerians should get ready for those tough economic realities that await them as we approach the year 2015. Remember that Nigeria is not a manufacturing or an agricultural economy. Nigeria is 100% import-based economy and 100% consumer-based economy. Everything that Nigerians need and use on daily basis are all imported from toothpicks to petrol. The prices of goods and services will go up. Salaries of Nigerian workers will stay the same. The cost of living will rise and the standard of living for the tens of millions of Nigerians will drop. There will be social crisis in the families across this nation. The trade unions will go on strikes, law and order will collapse gradually with the rise in the state of insecurity as well as the menace of the Boko Haram
The ruling PDP and this President have both failed Nigerians. The best practical solution to these problems is for Nigerians to vote out Jonathan Goodluck in 2015 and vote for a responsible, honest, transparent, frugal, patriotic and accountable leader in the person of General Muhammadu Buhari ‪#‎AStitchOnTimeSavesNine‬

"THE MOST IMPORTANT POLITICAL LESSON FOR APC IN 2015 IN NIGERIA"

The opposition party in Nigeria, the APC should learn a quick lesson from the way presidential campaigns and elections are run in America by the two main political parties, the Democrat and the Republican. America's electorates from the 50 states of the union are divided into 3 voting blocs, blue, red and swing states. The blues states are traditionally for Democrats and the red states are solidly for Republicans. The candidates of both parties always campaign to win votes in those swing states that can go either side and will always decide the winner of the White House.

As it is in Nigeria today, the North-East is for APC, the North-West is for APC, the North-Central is a battleground between the PDP and the APC, the South-South is for PDP and the South-East is for PDP. The swing region in this 2015 presidential election that will determine the next occupant of the Aso Rock is the South-West. Bola Tinubu and his APC governors from the most important region of Nigeria in the 2015 presidential election are the principal deciders of the future of the APC in 2015, either in the Aso Rock villa or not. The largest votes are in the North-West, North-East and South-West of Nigeria.

General Buhari needs two things to win that election. General Buhari needs 25% of the votes in 8 or 9 more states, mainly from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Edo, Rivers and Delta. Buhari will also need to win the highest votes in that election which is practically possible from the votes from the South-West, North-East and North-West going for him. Buhari got his 12 million votes in the 2011 presidential election mainly from the North-West, North-East and North-Central and had 25% of the votes mainly from the 16 Northern states of Nigeria.

If Bola Tinubu will not sell out this time around like he did in 2011 and will put the structure of APC in place in the South-West. Buhari and APC will make history from two fronts in 2015, firstly, as the first opposition party to win the presidential election in Nigeria and secondly, as the only Nigerian that contested four consecutive times before winning the presidency of Nigeria. I hope APC will learn one or two simple lessons from this simple political analysis. Time will surely tell. #‎ThePoliticalLessonForAPCIn2015

"THE AMERICAN GOP SHOULD NOT CELEBRATE THEIR ELECTORAL VICTORY YET"

The GOP that now controls the majority in the two chambers of the US Congress should never forget that their majorities in both houses are not two-third of the membership of the two houses. The green pen of President Barack Obama can easily veto any bill that is passed into law that is not in line with this President's agendas for America. This President is also empowered constitutionally to use his executive power to do things for America without the US Congress. The best way forward for the next two years of the remaining tenure of this President is for the GOP to play a politics of compromise or give-and-take.

Firstly, Obama will never in this world allow the GOP to repeal the health care bill (Obamacare) that is the main signature tune of the achievement of his presidency. Secondly, this President will not also allow the GOP to refuse to do something about the broken immigration law of America without using his executive power to reform our immigration crisis. Thirdly, this President cares about his legacies and he will never allow himself to be made redundant or a lame-duck- President who will not be able to do anything for America for the remaining two years of his presidency.

Fourthly, the GOP should remember that the last Tuesday midterm elections were all local elections in which Obama was not on the ballot directly. This President is never going to be on the ballot again in 2016 for any reelection and he has nothing to really lose. He won both of his elections in 2008 and 2012 respectively. American voters approved his work and gave him the mandate twice. Lastly, President Obama will also do everything within his constitutional power to prepare the White House for the next Democratic President in 2016. The Impeachment of this President is practically impossible and it will be the biggest political suicide for the GOP. This President has not committed any high crimes or impeachable offenses in office to date‪#‎PoliticsIsAGameOfNumberAndAlsoLocal‬

"THE FUTURE OF DEMOCRACY IS BLEAK IN MOST AFRICAN COUNTRIES"

We Africans love to deceive ourselves in our western type of democratic governance. We suppress opposition parties. We do not believe in the principle of separation of powers as well as checks and balances. We conduct and sanction fraudulent elections as the authentic elections. We put provisions in our constitution that allow our public officials to live above the laws of our nations. We muzzle the press, judiciary and free speech thinking that our democracies have any bright future under those anti- democratic practices and the violation of the rule of law. The recent political development in Burkina Faso that removed the 27 years dictatorship of Blaise Campaore from power is a direct product of our pseudo-democracy. Military will always come back to power in Africa until the day that our democracies in Africa are truly people representative in all ramifications ‪#‎TheFutureOfDemocracyInAfrica‬

"NIGERIANS SHOULD VOTE PRESIDENT JONATHAN GOODLUCK OUT OF OFFICE IN 2015"

President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria has failed woefully in almost all the parameters that are globally used to measure any good government in any country of the world today. The Nigeria's national economy is growing only on the government paper and failing to reduce the double-digit unemployment rate and the 80% poverty rate. Today, tens of millions of the hardworking Nigerians are still earning poverty wage, the value of the Nigerian Naira remains fluid and unstable against the international currencies. The inflation rate on goods and services is rising, the nation's foreign reserve is rapidly depleting and her foreign debt is bloating up again.

The insecurity to life and properties of all Nigerians has reached the lowest and the worst level in decades. The war against Boko Haram that is supported with huge yearly budget is a colossal failure. This government has failed to provide Nigerians with electricity, basic social services, modern and affordable health care, functioning 21st century public education and the modernization of our old and overcrowded national infrastructures.
The government has remained passive and indifferent in its fight against the menace of the official corruption and the mammoth state resource mismanagement. This is a government that is functioning on many unresolved financial scandals, such as, Malibu oil deal, petroleum subsidy fraud, $20 billion missing oil money from the NNPC and extra-budgetary spendings that violate the financial regulations and laws of Nigeria.
Any Nigerian who plans to vote for this President in 2015 is either the Nigerian is benefitting from the ongoing corruption and the mismanagement of this country or the Nigerian is sentimental with religious bigotry, ethnic loyalty and geopolitical politics that will never make Nigeria a great nation in all reality‪#‎NigeriaAnd2015PresidentialElection‬

"GENERAL BUHARI'S HONESTY THREATENS THE POLITICAL STATUS QUO IN NIGERIA"

Some Nigerians will always amaze me on daily basis. They are so critical about the personal decision of General Muhammadu Buhari to approach his bank in Kaduna and borrowed N27 million to pay for his party's presidential nomination form. Firstly, General Buhari is honest and truthful with Nigerians about the source of this money. Secondly, General Buhari does not have this money personally as a former Head of State, ex-Chairman of the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), former federal commissioner of petroleum ministry, former Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), former state military governor of the North Eastern State and a retired Major-General of the Nigerian Army.
Thirdly, General Buhari does not want this money to be paid by one of the richest Nigerians and then hijack his presidency for the expected returned favor. Fourthly, General Buhari by his status in Nigeria as a former Head of State with a regular monthly pension, a personal house in Kaduna and in Abuja plus a long-standing personal relationship with this bank can be trusted as a good creditor by this bank. Bank managers can use their personal discretion, the long-standing relationships and the credit history of their customers to make those financial decisions to borrow them money as loans, to increase their requests for line of credit or bank overdraft.
The manager of the Gambian Chase bank in Serrekunda borrowed me D10,000 ($1000) in 2001 as a long-standing and a reliable customer of this bank when I needed that money to travel for a professional conference in the United States. In conclusion, what General Buhari has done is what is called transparency and accountability from a leader in the public life. How many Nigerian public elected officials and those influential religious leaders including the sitting President Jonathan Goodluck have ever declared their personal assets and disclosed how they became the overnight super-rich Nigerians? In conclusion, Buhari's integrity, openness and honesty threaten his political rivals and their supporters by giving them those sleepless nights‪#‎BuhariForThePresidentOfNigeriaIn2015‬

"LINDA IKEJI:THE PLAGIARIST-BLOGGER IS LUCK TO BE LIVING IN NIGERIA IN 2014"

Nigeria is a lawless country where the intellectual property rights and the copyright laws are never enforced in all reality. In the United States, many university and college professors have been demoted and dismissed over proven cases of plagiarism. America's universities have canceled students' college courses and revoked those awarded degrees over the established cases of academic fraud or dishonesty. Big businesses in America have been fined heavily by courts of law over their violation of those copyrights laws in their business practices and transactions. The international journalist and Time magazine editor-at-large as well as the CNN host of the program GPS 360, Fareed Zakaria was suspended in 2012 from both places for a month after admitting to lifting parts of a story from the New Yorker newspaper. A United States Senator John Walsh of Montana resigned recently from the senate over an allegation of plagiarism in his master's degree thesis and the U.S. Army War College has now officially revoked his master's degree after an investigation into plagiarism allegation was established. Linda Ikeji was reported to have attributed the taking down of her blog by Google as an act of envy and jealousy from her Nigerian rival bloggers and then went ahead to put the holy name of God in her dirty business of intellectual fraud and dishonesty that allow her to continue to profit and to make name for herself in the blogosphere on the ideas, sweat and handwork of others‪#‎PlaigarismIsAnIntellectualFraudAndDishonesty‬

"EBOLA IS A GLOBAL THREAT"

I am personally very worried for the future and the economies of the three West African nations of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea that are currently facing the Ebola virus disease epidemic. This disease that first started in the rural areas of these three African countries have now reached their capital cities where most of their populations live. The health care infrastructures of these countries are outdated, inadequate and are now fully overwhelmed.

The national economies of these nations are now rapidly collapsing. The international tourism to Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea has now come to the final halt. The major international airlines have stopped flying to Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone as well as the International shipping companies. The major hotels are now empty. The importation of goods and services are heavily down. The local farming and domestic food production are both speedily declining. International financial help is now needed in these countries more than before.

The future of these countries depends on how they win this ongoing war against Ebola that has now officially claimed the life of 4,000 citizens of these countries at the moment and with more infections happening on daily basis. If this deadly Ebola disease is not defeated once and for all by the global efforts, it can spread quickly to the entire world like an ill wind that blows no nation any good at the end of the day‪#‎EbolaThreatensTheFutureOfTheWorld‬

"JONATHAN GOODLUCK IS GETTING READY TO CRASH THE DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA"

Jonathan Goodluck who is today in Nigeria one of the highest beneficiaries of our present democracy is about to destroy this democracy with his own hands and for his own personal political ambition to return to the Aso Rock villa in 2015 by all the means necessary and humanly possible under the sun.
Where was Jonathan Goodluck on earth and what roles did he play personally in all the political struggles of the 1980s and 1990s against the military dictatorships in Nigeria before this democracy was finally birthed with the deaths, tears, blood and sorrow of the Nigerians activists in which Jonathan Goodluck was not one of them?
Does Jonathan Goodluck think that his own political ambition is bigger at the end of the day than this democracy in Nigeria? Where in the world and in any working democracy do you conduct elections in an atmosphere of militarization and voter intimidation and then you call those elections to be free, fair, transparent and credible? The political experiment in Ekiti State is about to be repeated again in Osun State tomorrow by Jonathan Goodluck?
The man is about to crash this democracy between now and 2015 and he will not escape its final outcomes at the end of the day. I am watching, Nigerians are watching and the whole world is also watching. A word is enough for the wise. This President should go and read about how those Nigerian politicians like himself crashed the first, second and third political dispensations in Nigeria. History will soon repeat itself in Nigeria that will teach this President a very hard life lesson because he refuses to learn from the Nigeria's history books and he is not also teachable from the past political events of Nigeria"‪#‎TheHardLessonsOfHistoryAwaitsThisPresidentShortly‬

"EBOLA IN NIGERIA:THE QUESTIONS THAT PASTOR ENOCH ADEBOYE CANNOT ANSWER"

This Pastor was reported by the PM news of Nigeria to have said that members of his Church that took part in the 100 days of fasting program that was organized this year are all free from any infection that may come from the ongoing Ebola outbreak in Nigeria.
(i). Is Pastor Enoch Adeboye now a trained medical professional with expertise and specialization in the area of infectious diseases and their preventions?
(ii). Is Pastor Enoch Adeboye not directly exposing his Church members to the possibility of an Ebola infection and also publicly endangering other Nigerians who may have any direct contact with his Church members to the possibility of the same Ebola infection?
(iii). Is Pastor Enoch Adeboye not working directly and against the international effort of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Nigerian government in their attempt to control the spread of Ebola disease in Nigeria by telling his own Church member that they are now totally immune to the Ebola disease because they have all fasted for 100 days?
(iv). Is Pastor Enoch Adeboye not directly practicing unregulated human medicine without him holding any known medical education and medical board certification or license to practice that profession?
(v). Is Pastor Enoch Adeboye not indirectly pushing his Church devotees back to the era of the pre-scientific world in the management of today's human diseases?
The Nigerian health authority must call this Pastor to order immediately before it is too late. Ebola is a highly deadly human disease that kills about 90% of its victims and has no known medical cure for now#ReligiousBigotryAndIgnoranceAtWork

"ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT AND HOW TO FIX IT" - PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER

Israelis and Palestinians are still burying their loved ones as Gaza's third war in six years continues. Since July 8, when this war began, more than 1,600 Palestinian and 65 Israeli lives have been sacrificed. Many in the world are heartbroken in the powerless certainty that more will die, that more are being killed every hour.
This tragedy results from the deliberate obstruction of a promising move toward peace in the region, when a reconciliation agreement among the Palestinian factions was announced in April. This was a major concession by Hamas, in opening Gaza to joint control under a technocratic government that did not include any Hamas members. The new government also pledged to adopt the three basic principles demanded by the Middle East Quartet comprised of the United Nations, the United States, the European Union, and Russia: nonviolence, recognition of Israel, and adherence to past agreements. Tragically, Israel rejected this opportunity for peace and has succeeded in preventing the new government's deployment in Gaza.
Two factors are necessary to make Palestinian unity possible. First, there must be at least a partial lifting of the 7-year-old sanctions and blockade that isolate the 1.8 million people in Gaza. There must also be an opportunity for the teachers, police, and welfare and health workers on the Hamas payroll to be paid. These necessary requirements for a human standard of living continue to be denied. Instead, Israel blocked Qatar's offer to provide funds to pay civil servants' salaries, and access to and from Gaza has been further tightened by Egypt and Israel.
There is no humane or legal justification for the way the Israeli Defense Forces are conducting this war. Israeli bombs, missiles, and artillery have pulverized large parts of Gaza, including thousands of homes, schools, and hospitals. More than 250,000 people have been displaced from their homes in Gaza. Hundreds of Palestinian noncombatants have been killed. Much of Gaza has lost access to water and electricity completely. This is a humanitarian catastrophe.
There is never an excuse for deliberate attacks on civilians in conflict. These are war crimes. This is true for both sides. Hamas's indiscriminate targeting of Israeli civilians is equally unacceptable. However, three Israeli civilians have been killed by Palestinian rockets, while an overwhelming majority of the 1,600 Palestinians killed have been civilians, including more than 330 children. The need for international judicial proceedings to investigate and end these violations of international law should be taken very seriously.

The U.N. Security Council should focus on what can be done to limit the potential use of force by both sides. It should vote for a resolution recognizing the inhumane conditions in Gaza and mandate an end to the siege. That resolution could also acknowledge the need for international monitors who can report on movements into and out of Gaza as well as cease-fire violations. It should then enshrine strict measures to prevent the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. Early discussions have already taken place. The Elders, an international group of elder statesmen of which we are a part, hope these discussions will continue and reach fruition.
At the Palestinians' request, the Swiss government is considering convening an international conference of the signatory states of the Geneva Conventions, which enshrine the humanitarian laws of warfare. This could pressure Israel and Hamas into observing their duties under international law to protect civilian populations. We sincerely hope all states -- especially those in the West, with the greatest power -- attend and live up to their obligations to uphold the Fourth Geneva Convention, which governs the treatment of populations in occupied territory.
Unity between Fatah and Hamas is currently stronger than it has been for many years. As Elders, we believe this is one of the most encouraging developments in recent years and welcome it warmly. This presents an opportunity for the Palestinian Authority to reassume control over Gaza -- an essential first step towards Israel and Egypt lifting the blockade.
The Palestinian Authority cannot manage the task of administering Gaza on its own. It will need the prompt return of the EU Border Assistance Mission, an international effort to help monitor border crossings that was launched in 2005 and suspended in 2007. EU High Representative Catherine Ashton has already offered to reinstate the program, covering not only Rafah but all of Gaza's crossings. Egypt and Israel would, in turn, cooperate with international monitors to be deployed in Gaza and along its borders, backed by a U.N. Security Council mandate to protect civilian populations. A valuable precedent for trust-building between Egypt and Israel is the international peacekeeping force operating in the Sinai, mandated by the peace treaty signed by the two countries in 1979.
The international community's initial goal should be the full restoration of the free movement of people and goods to and from Gaza through Israel, Egypt, and the sea. Concurrently, the United States and EU should recognize that Hamas is not just a military but also a political force. Hamas cannot be wished away, nor will it cooperate in its own demise. Only by recognizing its legitimacy as a political actor -- one that represents a substantial portion of the Palestinian people -- can the West begin to provide the right incentives for Hamas to lay down its weapons. Ever since the internationally monitored 2006 elections that brought Hamas to power in Palestine, the West's approach has manifestly contributed to the opposite result.
Ultimately, however, lasting peace depends on the creation of a Palestinian state next to Israel.
Leaders in Israel, Palestine, and the world's major powers should believe that policy changes are within reach that would move Israelis and Palestinians closer to a day when the skies over the Holy Land can forever fall silent - From www.foreignpolicy.com.

"THE REASONS WHY AMERICA NEEDS AFRICA NOW"

Africa was known for decades to America and the rest of the western nations as the dark continent of the world that has nothing good to offer them in particular and the rest of mankind in general except for her untapped mineral resources and raw materials (oil, gas, tin, gold, diamond, uranium, timber, cocoa, coffee, rubber, palm oil, groundnut and others). In return, the west has to deal with the problems of Africa, such as, poverty, wars, famines, droughts, sicknesses and diseases with their foreign aid. This is the way Africa was seen and treated by the successive American governments for decades.

Today in the 21st century, Africa has now come out of age to tell America that she has more to offer her and the rest of the world for a number of reasons. Firstly, about one billion people live in Africa today (15% of the global population) and the majority of Africans are under 35 years of age. By 2030, Africa will have the world's largest productive workforce. Secondly, Africa has 6 out of 10 fastest growing economies in the world today (Ethiopia, Angola, Ghana, Mozambique, Congo, Tanzania and Zambia) at an annual growth rate of more than 7% per annum. The entire size of the African economy is now equal to the whole of Asia Tigers. Thirdly, Africa has huge abundant virgin land and water resources for agriculture and most of the world's major and untapped mineral resources in the commercial quantities are found in Africa.

Fourthly, Africa has a rapidly growing middle class with more financial muscles and a huge untapped market for goods and services. Africa has the world's largest telecommunication market today. Fifthly, the world's biggest economies, such as, China, India, Brazil and Russia that are all global rivals to America have their economic roots already deep in Africa which leaves America behind as a late comer. Sixthly, the continent of Africa is the only available untapped market for the America's biggest companies to remain globally competitive with their rivals in this age of globalization. Lastly, Africa's time to shine in the community of nations of the world has finally arrived in our lifetime.

The biggest challenges that may hinder or likely slow down the future of Africa in her quest to become the next economic wonder of the 21st century world are the lack of the people representative democracy, corrupt governments and leaders in some of the Africa's nations today as well as the terrorist networks, Ebola virus disease and wars. In conclusion, the ongoing US-African Summit in Washington, DC plans an almost $1 trillion new businesses for the America's multinational corporations in Africa. Africa is no longer to be looking for foreign aid from America, but business partnership that will benefit both parties.

"PRESIDENT JONATHAN GODDLUCK OF NIGERIA HAS NO INTERNATIONAL CREDIBILITY"

Firstly, he runs a government where official corruption is accepted as the standard way of doing business in the governance of Nigeria today. The EFCC is now officially died under the watch of this President. The highly corrupt public officials are protected from legal prosecution and Nigerians with those criminal records are compensated with public positions. A central bank governor was fired from his job for exposing $20 billion official corruption.

Secondly, this President has worked day and night to destroy this democracy for his own personal political ambition now and in 2015. He publicly recognized a governor who lost an election with 16 votes to another governor who won that election with 19 votes to be the winner of that election. He used the federal might and resources in Kano in a failed attempt to impose his own Emir of choice on the people of Kano. He used the federal military power to conduct a state election in Ekiti State causing voter disfranchisement and then resisted the movement of two of the Nigerian state governors from coming to Ekiti State. He plans to use the same military in Osun State this week. He has grounded private planes of his political opponents without any reasons. The President has no respect for human rights of his perceived political enemies and the rule of law.

Thirdly, this President is paying a lip service to the war on the Boko Haram terrorism and the kidnappings of the hundreds of the young Nigerian girls"#JEGHasNoInternationalCredibility

"PRESIDENT JONATHAN GOODLUCK IS WELCOME TO AMERICA"

This President is welcome to a country that practices the people representative democracy, free, fair, credible and transparent election processes instead of the voter disfranchisement, the militarization of the voting places and the restriction of the free movement of perceived political opponents in Nigeria. This President is welcome to a country that practices the supremacy of the rule of law in place, the equality and equal justice under the same law of the land for all Americans instead of the constitutional immunity from legal prosecution for the public elected officials, the selective treatment under the same law for Nigerians and the disregard for court rulings by this President and his government.
The President is welcome to a country where those appointed and elected public officials are prosecuted and jailed for official corruption, abuse of power and the breaking the law of the land instead of protecting the corrupt state officials from legal prosecution and rewarding criminals with public offices in Nigeria under this President. This President is welcome to a country that practices the freedom of speech, religion, association, press and the separation between the state and religion in all reality instead of the censorship of the press, the disruption and the banning of public rallies as well as the use of the Nigerian tax payers' money to sponsor and to support religions.
This President is welcome to a country that practices the separation of powers between the three branches of its government, the principle of checks and balances in the governance of America instead of the supreme dictatorship of the occupant of the Aso Rock villa. This President is finally welcome to a country that respects the sanctity of the human life of all Americans all over the world and would send an aircraft to Africa to bring back the two Americans that are infected with the Ebola virus disease instead of treating the daily terrorism of the Boko Haram that kills innocent and ordinary Nigerians with his lip service, nonchalant attitude and the official denial of the abduction of the hundreds of the young Nigerian girls for weeks until international pressures came from the‪#‎BringBackOurGirls‬ worldwide ‪#‎JonathanGoodluckIsWelcomeToAmerica

"THE IS PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA'S TIME TO PUMP THOSE CHAMPAGNES"

President Barack Obama inherited the worst economic recession in America since the Great Depression era of the 1930s. He entered the White House in January of 2009 with a national economy that was bleeding to death and was losing over 800,000 jobs monthly. President Obama faced a collapsing real estate market in America with the highest foreclosure records in decades, a Wall Street that was grinding to its final halt, the automobile industry that was nearing an extinction, the two expensive wars of choice in Iraq and Afghanistan that were not financially sustainable, a record breaking 9 percent plus unemployment rate in decades, a rising national budget deficit as well as a national debt that was unsustainable that was also close to the size of the nation's GDP.

In his attempts to turn things around for America and Americans, President Barack Obama has had to work with the most politically obstructive Congress that is led by the GOP. This development has forced this President to use his executive power to move things forward that this Congress has refused to do in the name of politics and political ideologies. Despite this huge political obstruction, President Barack Obama can now celebrate these visible achievements that have made America a better country today in 2014 than the America that the former President George Bush Jr handed over to him in 2009.

The government of President Barack Obama has now created 9.9 million private sector jobs non-stop in the last 53 months and has also recovered all the jobs that were lost due to that economic recession of 2008. The national unemployment rate is now 6.2%, which is the lowest since 2007. This President has also created over 200,000 plus jobs for the last 6 months which had never happened in America since 1997. The national economy (GDP) also grew 4% in the second quarter of 2014 for the first time in years.

The war in Iraq is now over since 2010 as promised by this President when he campaigned for the White House. The war in Afghanistan will be officially over in 2014. The housing market In America has now recovered from the economic shock and it is now booming. The business as usual has finally returned to Detroit's automobile plants, the Wall Street stocks are now producing extraordinarily high returns by hitting 17,000 points for the first time under President Barack Obama. About 10 million Americans are now enjoying the affordable health care under the Obamacare. This is Obama's time to pump those champagnes of celebration for all these remarkable achievements under his presidency despite all the political odds on his way. #CelebrationTimeForPresidentBarackObama

"NIGERIANS DO NOT NEED TO HAVE ANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS OVER EBOLA"

The Ebola virus disease has existed for about 40 years now and with over 3,600 plus recorded cases to date. An average of 100 new infections yearly worldwide or 8 to 9 new infections every month. This disease has the natural capacity to always burn itself out without necessarily becoming a national health epidemic in any country that is affected, provided the family and the friends of those living with this disease do not touch any of the bodily fluids, which are the liquids that originate from inside the bodies of those persons living with this deadly disease in the name of love and caring for sick.

The bodily fluids are normally the excreted or the secreted liquids coming out from the human body, such as, blood, feces, pus, saliva, semen, tears, sweat, vomit, urine and vaginal secretion. The family and friends of those that die from this Ebola virus disease should also avoid touching the bodies of the dead during those ceremonial burial preparations in the name of their traditions, burial rites, cultures and showing their last affection to their loved ones who are now dead. The use of the medical quarantine or isolation of the persons that are affected by this Ebola virus disease and the bodies of those that are already dead from the same disease is the best practical method that can be used to contain the Ebola virus disease in any country that is affected effectively without becoming a major national health crisis. #NigeriaCanDefeatEbolaNow

WHO ATTEMPTED TO KILL GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI OF NIGERIA?

The answer points to the two different directions. Buhari's two main enemies today in the whole world are the PDP led- government of Jonathan Goodluck and the Boko Haram terrorist group in all reality, truth and honesty. Buhari remains the most significant threat to both entities in Nigeria and in all ramifications. The reelection of Jonathan Goodluck back to the Aso Rock villa in 2015 is going to be a very daunting political task if Buhari becomes the APC presidential candidate in 2015. Buhari has and enjoys huge political base in the Northern Nigeria that can practically guarantee him a very solid victory in the biggest voting block of Nigeria. The APC present political control of the South-West of Nigeria which is also the second biggest voting block in the country can pose a very significant obstacle to the reelection of Jonathan Goodluck in 2015. Buhari is the biggest living political barrier to Jonathan Goodluck and his reelection in 2015.

The Boko Haram terrorist group that wants the Islamization of the Northern Nigeria, the abolition of the western type of democracy and education, the immediate return to the full rule of Sharia as well as the suppression of women and girls sees Buhari as the biggest enemy to their political and religious goals for the Northern Nigeria today. Buhari is the biggest symbol of the representative democracy in the entire Northern Nigeria today. Buhari has the largest political followers in the Northern Nigeria. Buhari as a military dictator turned democratic leader now believes in the secular governance (separation between state and religion), the constitutional rule and western education. This is the main reason why the Boko Haram publicly announced to the world that Buhari is one of their targets they plan to eliminate. Finally:who wants General Muhammadu Buhari dead? Time will surely tell. #ThePDPGovernmentOrBokoHaram.

"MOST NIGERIANS ARE WORSE OFF TODAY UNDER THIS DEMOCRACY"

Nigerians are worse off today under this democratically elected government than anytime that I knew in the recent history of the governance of this country and in my own personal judgement. Nigerians are poorer today than anytime that I knew in the history of that country. Nigerians are more jobless, helpless and hopeless today than anytime that I knew in the past in that country. Nigerians earn lower wages today than anytime in the past.

The Nigerian Naira is weaker today than in the past. The standard of living of most Nigerians and their purchasing power are lower today than in the past years or decades. There is more unemployment today in Nigeria than in the past decades. There is more insecurity to the life and properties of Nigerians today than under any administration that I knew. The health care delivery in Nigeria today is worse than anytime that I knew. The quality of public education today in Nigeria is lower than in the years or decades that have gone by.

Nigerians have less access to the basic social services today than in the past. The national inflation rate on goods and services is higher today than under any government of the past. The unabated official corruption, resource mismanagement, oil bunkering, tax evasion, smuggling, dubious import duty waivers and money laundering are more rampant today than anytime in the past that I have personally witnessed or known growing up in that country.

The age-long Nigerian Dream of good paying job, car and home ownership, decent living and retirement is eluding more Nigerians today than anytime in the life of that country. The only beneficiaries from the Nigeria's democracy of the last 15 years are the 17,500 (0.01% of all Nigerians) public elected and appointed state officials at all levels and their cronies who are milking the nation's resources dry in the name of democracy, public service, the privatization of those lucrative public corporations and the oil blocs #DemocracyForTheNigerianPoliticalElite

"MY LETTER TO THE PASTORS AND IMAMS OF NIGERIA ON EBOLA"

The Ebola virus disease is real and alive just like the HIV/AIDS since it was first identified in Sudan and in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1976. The biggest outbreak of the Ebola virus disease since its detection almost 40 years ago is now affecting the nations of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone in the West African subregion resulting in 759 cases and 467 deaths since March of 2014. The infection rates and the deaths from the Ebola virus disease in West Africa are as follow:Guinea has 413 cases and 303 deaths, Sierra Leone has 239 cases and 99 death, Liberia has 107 cases and 65 deaths and Nigeria has one case and one death so far.

The first case of Ebola virus disease was confirmed in Lagos on Thursday which later resulted in the death of the man from Liberia who had this disease. There is no vaccine for Ebola virus disease at the moment. The transmission of this disease is from one person to another through physical contact and the exchange of body fluids, such as, blood, sweat, saliva, mucus, tears, semen and vaginal secretion from a person with this disease to another person without this disease. The Ebola virus disease is not an air-born disease.

Since most Nigerians are either Christians or Muslims by their religious faiths and these Nigerians attend their local Churches and Mosques at least once a week. I will advice the pastors and the imams of Nigeria to share those medically proven and tested preventive measures against the Ebola virus disease with their congregations. These pastors and imams can also support the effort of the federal government of Nigeria and the local authorities by posting those important health advisory information about how to prevent Ebola virus disease on their bulletin boards, service leaflets and social media. To be foretold is to be forewarned. A stitch in time will always save nine in Nigeria. #EbolaInNigeria

"EBOLA IN NIGERIA:PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN A CURE"

Lagos is the main commercial nerve center of Nigeria and with about 22 million residents that lack access to the modern health care delivery and proper sanitation. The one suspected case of Ebola that was reported in Lagos yesterday and it is now under medical evaluation both locally and internationally is a good step in the right direction.

The medical knowledge of the Ebola which is one of the most deadly diseases in the world today is still lacking amongst the millions of Lagos residents. The traditional culture of superstition and religious belief amongst Nigerians can be the biggest barrier and the most serious obstacle to any effective fight against Ebola in Lagos in particular and in Nigeria in general.

The successive Nigerian governments did not consider HIV/AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s to be a national health disaster at that time when a handful of cases of HIV/AIDS were medically identified in Nigeria. The government was late and reluctant in educating the citizens about the health dangers of HIV infection and those effective prevention measures against HIV/AIDS infection. Most Nigerians also rejected those suggested preventive measures, such as, sexual abstinence, the use of condom, sticking to one sex partner and HIV testing due to their traditional and religious beliefs.

The effect of this development has now resulted in the biggest health care crisis in Nigeria today with hundreds of thousands of deaths resulting yearly since the 1990s and with more than 4.5 million Nigerians who are now living daily with this HIV/AIDS. The infection rate in Nigeria is now the second highest number of new infections reported each year worldwide and with an estimated 3.7 percent of the Nigerian population who are living with HIV.

I hope the government of Nigeria and Nigerians who are at the risk of this Ebola infection will not treat it carelessly this time around in the same way and manner that the HIV/AIDS was treated in the past. The primary responsibility of the government is to continue to isolate the suspected cases of Ebola nationwide, aggressively educate Nigerians about the symptoms of Ebola and the preventive measures against Ebola infection. A stitch in time will always save nine in Nigeria. #ThePreventionOfEbolaIsBetterThanItsCure
