We Nigerians at home and in the diaspora think that the formation of the Nigerian nation in 1914 as a British colony by the British colonial power was never a human political construct but God's supernatural divine creation that can never fail as a nation. Many Nigerians also believe that she is permanently set on stone as a nation forever and she can never break-up or even disintegrates into many smaller nations in the nearest future no matter the nature or the type of the external and the internal crises that Nigeria may face today as a developing country.
Nigeria as a nation in my own personal judgement and perspectives cannot continue to defile the natural trends of the human political history. Historically, many turbulent nations that have emerged in the past had also broken-up into smaller pieces of nations based on the recorded accounts of the human history. The newest African nation of the Southern Sudan is a good recent example of political possibility in Nigeria in the future. The whole human universe was shocked to its bones in 1990 when one of the only two super-power nations at that time that was known as the USSR broke up suddenly and collapsed like a pack of playing cards into 15 smaller independent countries.
In conclusion, If all what is going on in Nigeria at the present moment are left unaddressed, they could point us to the same direction or fate that had befallen other nations in the past with different and many similar internal and external crises like the present day Nigeria in 2013.
