"THE 11 MODERN WAYS THAT NIGERIA CAN USE TO DEFEAT THE BOKO HARAM"

Below are the 21st century different methods or the modern ways that the Nigerian Government can use immediately and effectively to defeat the terrorist group that is operating in the Northern Nigeria that is known as Boko Haram. This terrorist group is currently committing massive acts of terrorism and genocides against the Northern Nigerian minority Christian populations and the smaller ethnic groups in that part of Nigeria unabated.

(i) The government of Nigeria should use double secret agents and modern intelligence gathering technologies to penetrate into the ranks and files of this terrorist group and combined these efforts with the effective, reliable and traditional human intelligence gathering methods. (ii) The government of Nigeria should effectively monitor and collect all the data or the information on the movement of people and goods in and out of our heavily porous land borders. (iii) The government of Nigeria should monitor all the activities of Nigerians and Nigerian residents that are travelling from Nigeria to the internationally known terrorist nations or to the nations that are known for giving comfortable place of abode to known terrorist cells, such as, Libya, Algeria, Mali, Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

(iv) The government of Nigeria should monitor all the local sales and the importation of the bomb making materials, such as the agricultural fertilizers that are used for the making of the IEDs. (v) The government of Nigeria should immediately equip the bomb detonating and disposal units of the Nigerian Army, Navy, Police, Airforce, FRSC, Customs and Immigration with the modern 21st century technologies and trainings for them to be more effective. All these federal agencies should work together and share vital intelligent information or materials freely. (vi) The federal government of Nigeria should also monitor the activities of the nationals of Cameroon, Chad, Benin and Niger that are in our country illegally or undocumented and if they are considered suspicious, they should be deported immediately. (vii) The government of Nigeria should send a bill on terrorism immediately to the National Assembly to enact tough laws against terrorism, sponsors of terrorism and all acts of terrorisms.

(viii) The Nigerian government should also cooperate and share any vital intelligence and security information with the intelligence organisations of our neighboring countries (Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Benin). (ix) The government of Nigeria should also monitor the final destinations and the proper documentations of all the records of all the imported materials into the country through the sea, land or air that can be used for making bombs. (x) The government should protect our porous ocean borders with our navy and modern technologies. (xi) The government should established a national data of all the owners of guns in Nigeria, importers of guns and prosecute illegal gun owners and illegal importers of guns into Nigeria.
