"PROSPERITY GOSPEL IN AFRICA IN THE 21ST CENTURY"

DOES A SANCTIFIED MATERIALISM THAT IS BASED ON FALSE HOPE AND PROMISES OFFER A WAY OUT OF POVERTY FOR THE POOR AFRICANS? Is poverty truly demonic or satanic in nature or is it due to the lack of economic and business opportunities as well as access to good paying jobs?

Did prosperity gospel based on tithing and offerings as it is preached today by these money teachers move hundreds of millions of Brazilians, Chinese, Taiwanese, Koreans, United Arab Emirate citizens and the people of Dubai from chronic and abject poverty into true individual prosperity and national wealth? Why are millions of the ordinary Africans who were very poor in Africa can easily and quickly move into financial security and economic prosperity in the western world? Are the demons of poverty limited to Africa and to Africans?

Everything that these prosperity preachers do are for two primary purposes in all reality and never to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in all truth and honesty. Those two fundamental purposes are:(i) To maintain their high taste and expensive lifestyles and (ii) To set-up more income earning ventures like (schools, universities, printing businesses, recoding studios, bookshops, etc) that will benefit these preachers directly by helping them to make more money at the expense of the poor and their ignorant givers and followers. They also exploit the failed leadership and the economic hardships in many African nations to their own advantage by promising the poor, the helpless and the hopeless with their false hope and promises of wealth in return for their tithes and offerings. A bigger dog eats a smaller dog.

All over the world, all human beings would easily and naturally choose money and good health above everything that this present life has to offer or can offer them. This is the key secret behind this type of greed gospel that promises its followers and givers those two things (wealth and good health). That is why they are flourishing worldwide today, especially in poorest nations of Africa. They flourish more in poorer nations where millions do not have access to economic, financial, educational and business opportunities, or to the good paying jobs and modern health care facilities.

In conclusion, Karl Max who was the founder of the political ideology of Communism once said that "religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people". The African greed preachers will continue to have a field day in the poorest nations of Africa until African leaders in those nations can truly create the lacking national economic opportunities for their own people that will lead to true true individual prosperity, the surest way of of poverty for Africans.
