The Christian religious right is now fully part and parcel of the entire political fabric of the Republican Party of America at all levels. The popular conservative social policies of today, such as, school choice, school prayer, the teaching of creationism and sex education in the public schools, elimination of taxation, promotion of small government, anti-abortion stance, opposition to gay relationship and the same-sex marriage are all shaped together to reflect the political ideology of this powerful religious group within the Grand Old Party of America.
The Christian religious group rose to the national prominence in the politics of America in the 1970s when the late Baptist Pastor Jerry Falwell, who founded the Moral Majority and many other conservative Christian leaders urged their followers to be actively involved in American politics and the public policy formation. This political movement in the Republican Party of America are directly associated with the following religious groups, such as Moral Majority, Focus on the Family, Family Research Council and Christian Coalition.
Is the politics of the Christian religious right in the Republican Party of America today in line with the words and the teachings of Jesus Christ according to the Bible? The Christian religious right also believes that America was founded on the Judeo-Christian theology. This religious right group believe that the United States constitution is theocratic in nature and there is no visible line of separation between the state and the Church in practice. Is the United States constitution in line with the Jewish Torah or the Christian Bible as it is loudly, publicly and boldly claimed by the Christian religious right in America today?
An objective study of the American history shows clearly that the American union was never founded on the Judeo-Christian theology as claimed by the religious right, but on the principles of human freedom to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, democratic governance, legal justice as well as the economic doctrine of the free economic enterprise system or capitalism. This claim of theocracy by the Christian religious right is both wrong and it is a complete distortion of the true history of America. The constitution of the United States is completely different from the Jewish Torah or the Christian Bible.
The political ideology of the Christian right is light years away from the teachings of the Jewish Torah or the Christian Bible in all reality as it is also claimed by this political group in America today. The words and the teachings of Jesus Christ that culminated in his person and in his finished work on the cross at Calvary mountains 2,000 years ago is like any two parallel lines that will never meet at any point if both lines are jointly extended side by side into infinity in the dateless future, when the life of Jesus Christ and his teachings are placed side by side with the political ideology of the Christian religious right of the GOP.
