"GUN CONTROL AND THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION IN AMERICA"

"THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION (NRA) IN THE NATIONAL POLITICS OF GUN CONTROL AND REGULATIONS IN AMERICA":The National Rifle Association (NRA) of America with membership over of almost 4 million Americans from all walks of life is the strongest political pressure group and the most powerful public defender of the America's Second Amendment Rights in the United States Constitution today.

The NRA as a nati
onal lobbying body has spent and has continued to spend millions of the US dollar in every election cycle to support the reelection or the election of the GOP local, state and federal candidates who stand publicly and openly against gun control or regulations in the hands of all Americans. The NRA also continued to lobby those right-wing politicians and the GOP members of the US Congress from ever enacting any national bill that will eventually resist, regulate and control gun ownership in America.

As long as the American citizens are passive politically and will refuse to put those necessary and effective political pressures on the NRA as an organization and the GOP members of the US Congress that benefit financially from the NRA by demanding for a national legal regulation to control every type of gun ownership in America.

Then the mass shootings or killings of innocent Americans and residents will continue unabated in the hands of these heartless and chronic mass murderers or shooters who enjoy unlimited and unresisted access as well as the legal protection under the US Constitution at the moment to own all types of guns and to use those guns for those purposes that are outside the shooting range practices, seasonal huntings and true or genuine self-defense when their precious life is actually threatened.

"THE 6 KEY QUESTIONS THAT CHINUA ACHEBE'S LAST BOOK RAISED ON THE BIAFRAN WAR IN NIGERIA"

The biggest threat in the Chinua Achebe's newest book on the Biafran war to the so called Nigeria's questionable unity today in 2012 is the fact that Chinua Achebe asked the boldest and the toughest questions about this Biafra war at the international level, such as:(i) Was the Biafran war not an act of genocide against the Igbos from all ramifications? (ii) Were Yakubu Gowon and Obafemi Awolowo
not guilty of genocide against the Igbos in the ways and in the manners that they used to prosecute this brutal war through the use of economic blockage and food starvation that led to the physical deaths of about 2-3 million of those defenseless Igbos children, women and the non-combatant men?

(iii) Has Nigeria as a nation ever truly learned any vital lessons from this brutal past? (iv) Are the present events in Nigeria today not very similar to those events of the 1960s that gave birth to the Biafran war? (v) Why is the Biafran war and its most important lessons kept away from the public or from the young Nigerians today and they are never taught in any of our public educational systems? (vi) Why did all the successive governments in Nigeria have all attempted to date to suppress the whole truth or the important information about this terrible war?

"CHINUA ACHEBE'S NEWEST BOOK ON THE BIAFRAN WAR IN NIGERIA IS CREDIBLE"

This book is a direct product of over 40 years of detailed and deep academic research that was never driven primarily for financial gains, cheap national and international recognitions or for literary awards. I consider this book after my personal perusal of it and in my own personal judgement to be one of the Bibles on the Ni
gerian state and her deep crises in the colonial and post-colonial dispensations that linger till today.

Chinua Achebe will never personally risked his own international reputation and global recognition as an icon of human literature that spans over half of a century by intentionally documenting a fabricated historical account of the history of the Nigerian state and leaving behind a shady legacy of his colorful, controversial and eventful life or times. Chinua Achebe in 2012 remained without any doubt as one of the few Nigerians in powerful and influential positions that have refused to be corrupted by the Nigerian state with her juicy political appointments, national awards, inflated contract allocations and official bribery

‎"ANOTHER BLACK FRIDAY IN AMERICA PUT THE SUBJECT OF GUN CONTROL BACK ON THE NATIONAL DISCOURSE"

How many American citizens or her residents will have to die prematurely again before the Washington politicians will work together and across those party ideological lines in order to put an effective national law in place that will finally control, regulate and monitor gun ownership requirements in America?

There are estimated 300 million different types of guns in the hands of Americans in a country with 315 million living souls. It is easier today in 2012 in America to buy any gun, including those assault rifles or machine guns for private use than to buy a prescription drug to treat a common cold from a pharmacy. More than 10,000 preventable deaths occur every year in America from the violent use of these privately owned guns.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) continues to stand against any proposed regulations to control gun ownership in America including those assault rifles by putting their corporate profits above the sanctity of human precious life that has no duplicate or replacement when taken unexpectedly in the hands of these chronic murderers.

The only realistic method that is firstly and humanly practicable, and secondly will reduce the number of these preventable deaths in the hands of these killers is to have in place an effective gun control law that is coupled with those tough requirements for gun ownership in United States.

"MY PERSONAL PESPECTIVES OF THE CHINUA ACHEBE'S NEWEST BOOK ON THE BIAFRAN WAR IN NIGERIA"

Chinua Achebe's newest book that is titled "THERE WAS A COUNTRY:A PERSONAL HISTORY OF BIAFRA" has truly divided Nigerians and the national public opinions about this war. Biafran war was the worst chapter in the entire history of Nigeria to date. Every effort has been made by every successive government in Nigeria to date including the military government that prosecuted the Biafran war to sweep the whole truth about this war under the carpet of history forever or to also rewrite the true account of this war to suit their own tribal or regional goals and the myopic national objectives of the Nigerian leaders that are neither patriotic or nationalistic in the name of one Nigeria and national unity.

Achebe's book on the Biafran war is a personal legacy and a first class account from one of the major actors on the Biafra's side of this war. The book asked the most important questions about this war that were never asked at the national and international levels before except the phrase "No Victor and No Vanguished". This book also serves as a national warning to the Nigerian nation in 2012 that has never learned any vital lesson to date from her brutal and past history. Nigeria today faces the likely possibility of this destructive event been repeated again in our lifetime in a nation that is passing through the same similar events of the 1960s that gave birth to the Biafran war and in a nation where the true wound of this war has not truly healed in all honesty and reality.

WHO IS CHINUA ACHEBE OF NIGERIA?

Professor Chinua Achebe stands out clearly amongst his contemporaries and equals in Nigeria in particular as well as in the entire continent of Africa and all over the literary world in general. This erudite emeritus professor of the African literature, an internationally acclaimed author and essayist, a controversial political- historian and a great writer of human and African events is one of the few highly placed Nigerians that I personally hold in the highest esteem today. Chinua Achebe has refused to sell his precious birthright like the way the biblical Esau did just for the hunger sake for one single meal of bread and lentil stew to his brother Jacob forever.

Chinua Achebe has refused for many decades to compromise his personal principles and his strong commitment to the truth about Nigerian nation that is in deep crises today for those enticing and the highly juicy political appointments, inflated government contracts and patronage, the Ghana-must-go bags or the so called Nigeria's national honors that are normally given to Nigerian traitors instead of the true Nigerian patriots and nationalists on two different occasions and under two different administrations as an academician, a researcher and a political commentator.

Chinua Achebe's place in the Nigeria's annals of history is already determined, known, secured, settled and written in pure gold forever and for the present generations of all Nigerians that are living today and for the future generations of Nigerians that are yet unborn to tap into for the much needed and for the missing inspirations that are not seen in the current leadership in Nigeria in 2012, but can be found from the life and the times of this great mind of African literature.

"IT IS FINISHED:THE OFFICIAL END OF THE OLD COVENANT ERA"

  • "IT IS FINISHED":Those were the last words of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. What is the spiritual significance of this statement from the mouth of Jesus Christ in all ramifications and realties? In Koine Greek, the original language of the New Testament Scriptures and one of the languages that Jesus Christ spoke on earth," it is finished" is the the word "tetelestai" which means "an end, a completion, a conclusion, to complete, to accomplish, to fulfill or to finish a given task."

The major events took place between the time that Jesus Christ was hanging on the cross and his resurrection from the dead on the third day did not happen before in the entire human history from the time of Adam in the Garden of Eden to the last words of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. The moments that Jesus Christ spoke these last words, the following events followed. The veil of the temple was torn into two parts from its top to the bottom, the earth shook and the rocks were split, tombs of the dead were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised from death, after His resurrection they entered Jerusalem and appeared to many.

In the classical Greek times, the word "tetelestai" depicted a turning point in the human existence when one period of the human history ended and another new period of human history began. This is a turning point in the entire history of mankind, at that moment the Old Testament Scriptures came to an end - fulfilled, finished and closed - and the New Testament Scriptures began. The Cross was “the Greatest Divide” in the entire human history to date.

When Jesus cried out, “It is finished!” He was shouting that the Old Covenant or Testament had ended and the New Covenant or Testament had begun. All the Old Testament prophecies about Jesus’ earthly ministry were all completely and totally fulfilled to their last letters. The Justice of God and its requirements had all been fully met and satisfied by the Lamb of God that was slain for the sin of mankind . Jesus' mission to save humanity from eternal damnation was accomplished and completed at Calvary.

When Jesus cried, “It is finished,” .The sacrifices and the Levitical priesthood of the Old Testament Covenant or the entire Mosaic law  were permanently ended or they all came to their final halt or the end because of the perfect sacrifice on the cross that saves mankind. Jesus offered His own blood for the full payment of our sinful debt, we are forgiven and totally debt-free. “PAID IN FULL” has been stamped on our past sinful record because Jesus paid the price for our redemption with His own blood. He is now our everlasting High Priest of the New Testament.
