"NIGERIA:A NATION WITH ITS LEADERS AND DISCIPLES IN THE WEB OF RELIGIONS"

President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria was reported by the media to have led over 3,000 other Nigerians who were visiting the state of Israel as religious tourists on a prayer the will change Nigeria for better and make her a great nation in the world. Has Jonathan Goodluck forgotten that Nigerians are one of the most religious and prayerful people in the world of today and yet they have nothing to show for their prayers despite all the Churches, Mosques and shrines that are in the every nook and cranny of Nigeria?

Is prayer or lack of prayer the problem of Nigeria for the last 53 years of her independence from Britain or the decades of those heavily corrupt, unpatriotic, inept and mediocre leadership that has ruled Nigeria as a nation to date? Which of the advanced economies and the emerging economies of the world of today in 2013 had successfully used the instrument of national prayer for their own nation-building by becoming the great nations of the moment? Has Jonathan Goodluck forgotten that the Nigerian 1999 constitution that he swore to uphold and to defend as the President of Nigeria has no single legal provision for prayer in the governance of Nigeria and prayer or using prayer to govern Nigeria is not one of the official job responsibilities of the office of the President of Nigeria? Has Jonathan Goodluck forgotten that Nigeria is a secular state where state and religion are separated?

Has Jonathan Goodluck forgotten that the Nigerian 2013 federal budget that he signed into law has no financial provision in it for any holy pilgrimage to Israel with over 800 delegates that were reported by Sahara Reporters to have accompanied this President on this religious tourism trip on the backs of the ailing Nigerian economy and her helpless tax payers? The only nation that has gained economically from this religious tourist of the presidency of Nigeria is the state of Israel who has now received a big financial boost into her religious tourism business with the Nigeria's oil wealth. Has President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria forgotten that the true answer to the Nigeria's problems is not in that type of higly hypocritical, attention-seeking and deceptive religious prayers that are not based on any true repentance from his evil ways or the true change of his heart to begin to do good for Nigeria?

Nigeria is truly a nation of religious bigots from its leadership to the disciples in all reality. I weep for my beloved country in 2013. What is happening in Israel today under President Jonathan Goodluck is a direct sign of a man that has failed totally in his official responsibilities as a leader. No great nation of the world today ever succeeded with prayers only without putting the good governance, the rule of law and accountable leadership in place.

The unabated 53 years of the bad, mediocre, corrupt and failed leadership in Nigeria have forced millions of Nigerians to lose their personal faith in the promises of their own government and leaders. This sad experience has now pushed millions of these helpless, hopeless, desperate and vulnerable Nigerians into religious ignorance and bigotry where everything in their personal life is now reduced fully to the realm of miracles and supernatural interventions.

Nigeria as a nation can never see in all reality nor witness any true or meaningful national development in her lifetime if these set of rogues, treasury looters, traitors, rotten eggs, lawless public officials, abusers of public office or power, black sheep, mediocre, religious fanatics or bigots, liars, shady fellows, men and women of easy virtue, unpatriotic elements, bad managers of public funds and trust as well as chronic spendthrifts are fully in charge of the Nigeria's wealth and the national affairs of our beloved country.

"THE HOLY PILGRIMAGE TO ISRAEL IS NOT PART OF THE CHRISTIAN DIVINE MANDATE"

The New Testament Scriptures which is the foundation for the Christian faith or practices and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the central personality of the same Christian faith in his own words and teachings never commanded any Christian to perform any type of the holy pilgrimage to the state of Israel by visiting, praying or worshipping at those biblical historical sites in Israel. The holy pilgrimage to Israel is not one of the mandatory divine mandates or commands that must be observed by any human being in order for that person to be eternally saved and to fulfill the perfect will of God on earth.

This type of religious practice of today which has been introduced into the Christian faith is a direct form of scriptural heresy, idolatry or idol worshipping. To go to Israel for the holy pilgrimage does not make one a Christian, a superior Christian, a more anointed or a better Christian in all truth, honesty and reality. There are no single biblical traditions or precedences in the early Church and amongst the early Christians to support the practice of going on a holy pilgrimage to Israel as a required Christian service.

There are no documented records anywhere in the entire New Testament Scriptures that showed that the early Church visited or the early Christians were commanded to visit the physical birth place of Jesus Christ, the river where Jesus Christ was baptized, the Calvary mountain where Jesus Christ was crucified and the empty tomb of Jesus Christ after his resurrection from the dead. The God of the New Testament Scriptures by his divine attribute is omnipresent, the eternal salvation or the saving grace of Jesus Christ is freely available to mankind in any nation under the sun for the last 2,000 years and the religious holy pilgrimage to Israel is not part of the Christian faith.

"THE MUNDANE THINGS OF THIS LIFE THAT NIGERIANS SHOULD NEVER PRAY FOR IN 2014"

The primary purpose of any government in any human society is fundamentally for the wellbeing or the welfare of its own citizens. The failure of the Nigerian government to deliver on its promises for its own citizens have now forced millions of these helpless and hopeless Nigerians to turn into religions as their last and only available alternative avenues. It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government and the private sector of the Nigerian economy to create jobs for Nigerians instead of these unemployed Nigerians praying day and night for the jobs that are not there in all reality. It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government to provide its own citizens with the 21st century health care facilities instead of Nigerians praying for their own healing and good health over those sicknesses and diseases that are now curable or treatable in the world of modern medicine. 

It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government to provide its own citizens with their basic social services, such as good roads, treated water supply, trash removing services and electricity instead of Nigerians praying for all these things on daily basis or struggling to provide those things for themselves. It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government to provide quality education and modern infrastructures for its own citizens and no Nigerian should be praying for all these things on daily basis. It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government to wage the needed war against poverty by reducing the massive poverty rate through the creation of those vast economic opportunities for every Nigerian and pay the true living wages to its own workers instead of the poverty-creating wages that the most Nigerian workers are earning at the moment. It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government to put away the decent retirement benefits for its own seniors instead of making these Nigerians to forcefully patronize the so called prosperity teachers and their greed gospel of money and materialism. It is the primary responsibility of the Nigerian government to address the issues of lawlessness and to provide the needed security of life and properties to all her citizens.

"THE BATTLE TO KILL, TO DEFUND AND TO DELAY THE OBAMACARE HAS NOW DAMAGED THE GOP BRAND"

The Obamacare, which is the official health care law of the land in America today has now survived all its political onslaughts and adversaries from the GOP to date. This affordable health care law started its journey when it was officially passed by the majority votes from the two houses of senate and representatives of the US Congress. This Obamacare officially became the health care law of America when President Barack Obama signed it into law after its passage in 2010 by the US Congress. This Obamacare was then challenged by the 26 GOP controlled states at the Supreme Court of America. The majority of the justices of that apex court upheld Obamacare as the new health care law of America. The GOP-led Tea Party House members attempted on their own to revoke this Obamacare 42 times and unsuccessfully. The revocation of the Obamacare was the main political issue in the 2012 presidential election in America that the GOP as a political party and its presidential candidate Mitt Romney put before the American voters. The GOP lost that election when the American voters rejected the revocation of the Obamacare and reelected President Barack Obama for a second term in the White House. 

The Tea Party GOP House members then decided to attach the defunding, the delaying and the removal of the important components of the Obamacare as the conditions that must be met before the federal government debt ceiling will be raised and the federal budget will be passed into law. The refusal of the Democratic House and Senate members resulted in the shutting down of the federal government of America for 16 days. The American government lost over $24 billion in revenues and 3% of its annual GDP due to this shutdown. The GOP came out of this political battle without getting any of their demands on Obamacare. The Obamacare survived again as the official health care law of America. The GOP came out of this political war against Obamacare heavily battered, bruised and with the lowest public opinion rating of 24% in the 150 years plus of this political party in America. 

The most important questions that confront the GOP before the 2014 midterm elections and the presidential elections of 2016 are the following:(i). Will the GOP be ready to finally give up on the Obamacare? (ii). Will the GOP start another political battle on the same Obamacare in the next few months when the federal government of America will be due again for another debt ceiling to be raised? (iii). Will the GOP continue to use the same political strategy of threatening to shutdown the federal government as their political weapon of war against the defunding or the delaying of the Obamacare? (iv). Will the GOP-led Tea Party House members face a political backlash from the American voters from their different constituencies in the 2014 midterm elections? (v). Will the GOP succeed in controlling the House of Representatives again as a majority political party after the 2014 midterm elections? (vi). Will the GOP win the White House in 2016 based on their present position on the Obamacare? (vii). Which one of those two voices will be fully in charge of this political party between the moderate conservatives and the Tea Party ideologues from now on and until 2016 presidential elections? 

"TITHE OR TITHING IS NOT A COVENANTED DOCTRINE IN WHAT IS KNOWN AS THE OLD TESTAMENT" - OLUMIDE G. ADEYINKA

It was a specific un-covenanted article of instructions given at a specific time for a specific purpose for a very specific design to a specific people. It was not part of the Old Covenant neither could it have been part of the New Testament. To argue tithe as an eternal covenant is erroneous and intransigent to the faith we profess. Tithe is not a part of the Church Doctrine, not ever taken or received in the over 70 years of documented history of the Church in the New Testament scriptures. Tithe was not intended beyond a certain time of the past history of the settlement of Israel in their given land. Abraham never paid tithe, neither did Peter or Paul received one ever. The history of tithe was first mentioned in the Church of Christ some hundreds of years ago when the Church needed more money. It started as a command of man to man but now assumed a command of God to man through the evangelical Churches. I will try my best to present facts and truth on this ever-touching topic, but until then please do not judge me an anti-Christ or a rebel. Every sincere truth we know today was an object of hate yesterday. It will take some series to take this home, but I have the tenacity to do it. Scripture will prevail, not the wisdom of men or the eloquence of speakers.

Actually the Bible should have rightly been called The Old Covenant and The New Testament. Covenant is an agreement between two or more parties, and that was what God had with Israel. Testament has to do with a ‘Will’ and a disposition made by a person for after death. Jesus Christ had actually made a Will for us after His death to sin so that our sins will forever be removed from us. The Old Covenant was basically an agreement between God and Israel as enunciated in Exodus 19: 4-8

“Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain and said, "This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: 'You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites." So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the LORD had commanded him to speak. The people all responded together, "We will do everything the LORD has said." So Moses brought their answer back to the LORD.”

From the above, you can see a well spelled out agreement between God and Israel. It was not God and all mankind, but of Israel as a nation and a people. The terms of the covenant were very clear, breaches and repercussions were also clearly stated everywhere. Israel had to obey all instructions from God and then God’s part was to make them a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. God was not going to fail though. Israel agreed to the covenant. Both sides have their obligations spelled out, though it was God who initiated the covenant. It was after the agreement was reached and signed that the Ten Commandments were given along with several other more detailed civil laws, judgments, statutes and precepts. The understanding of this fact is very foundational to unveiling tithes, covenants and testaments. The entire Old Covenant of the Bible pertain primarily to Israel with theirs stories, other writings, and prophecies in relation to the covenant reached in the above passage. You can see very vividly that there was no death of any party to the agreement, hence it is wrong to call it the Old Testament. The problem was when the Bible was been translated into Latin in the 4thCentury, the word “Testamentum” was the term used and so it was translated to the English word Testament. The only place in the New Testament where the term “Old Testament” was used is in II Corinthians 4:14, and the Greek word translated as such is “Diatheke” which actually means “Covenant”.

It is important to state clearly here that the civil laws, social laws, communal laws were not part of the covenanted statements or terms of the agreement that we looked at above. For Forty years of Israel’s journey in the wilderness, there was no issue of tithe mentioned anywhere, yet the laws were in effect. Now God did not forget to ask Israel for tithe in the wilderness, it was just not necessary. God did not even ask them for sacrifices. Here is what God succinctly said in Jeremiah 7:22-24. Very clearly stated.

“'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves! For when I brought your forefathers out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, but I gave them this command: Obeyme, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you that it may go wellwith you. But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.”

The instructions of the covenant was very clear, premised on this: “Obey me and I will be your God and you will be my people”.

Tithe came in several years after, when God was settling Israel in their allotted land and the Levites were separated unto the Lord as Priests as against the entire people of Israel (the original agreement was that the whole Israel will be a kingdom of Priests). The tribe of Levi was not given inheritance like the rest of the people because they have shown to be ready to stand by God and for God alone (Exodus 32:25-29), so God became their portion and inheritance (they were not chosen or called by God as in the New Testament Preachers). So as recompense, God became their inheritance and asked Israel to make regular provisions for them along with the poor and the widows of the land. To lump this specialized provision as a part of the Old Covenant is to reduce the meaning of covenant. Tithe was a social law to the people of Israel in their land as a means to provide for the needs of the Levites as they perform their duties of the Temple. They were restrained from having possessions or land of their own but scattered all over the land of Israel among the people (the preachers today own much more land and possessions than the people).

In contrast to the above is the covenant that culminated in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The agreement was between Him and God on behalf of mankind, and the richness of which is the salvation by remission of the sins of all mankind. Israel was divorced for a new marriage with he entire human world. It is more than a covenant because it has a Will associated with the death of a party. God Himself initiated it and perfected it without any human involvement. Actually the role man played was to effect it. The Will is that, at His death and resurrection, all souls that believe in Him will be saved from their sins. That covenant was in His blood, which He shed totally for man’s salvation. Unlike the Old Covenant, where blood of bulls and goats were offered as sacrifices regularly, and which is insufficient, in the New Testament, Christ settled it all.

“He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for allby his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. 14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! (Hebrews 9: 12-14

In regards to a Will, same chapter in Hebrews said “In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, 17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living”

Now, who died in the first covenant? Not God and not Israel! Goats and bulls were killed as symbols of what was to come in Christ.

I said all the above to clear the air on the premise under which tithe is being preached as part of the law or the Old Covenant, and so still as effective as then. Nothing can more far from the truth as that.

Tithe is exactly like the instruction on Year of Jubilee and the Sabbath Year. This can be found in Exodus 25: 1-55. I will only touch few verses here

“The LORD said to Moses on Mount Sinai, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the LORD. 3 For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. 4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath of rest, a Sabbath to the LORD. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards….

10Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his family property and each to his own clan. 11 The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines…”

Like the tithe, Year of Jubilee and the Sabbath Year, are social principles and instructions and not laws. Even though it is written and documented in the Old Covenant, it is not actually part of the statement of the covenant enacted. Not at all! These are civic responsibilities of the people towards others and themselves. I wonder why the Church is not demanding Jubilee or the Sabbath or the year of the Sabbath. That is when preachers will surreptitiously tell the congregation that those are “Old Testament” doctrines and are not applicable to the New Church. Same instructions, but separated because one seems unacceptable and the other is preferred. If Tithe is eternal, so is Jubilee, so is Year of the Sabbath and so is the Sabbath too.

Actually Christ Jesus made mention of this things when he had a meeting with the scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees when they came asking him questions from the book of Matthew starting at chapter twenty two. Jesus talking to the people started to rebuke the scribes and Pharisees regarding how they have turned religious duties into burdens for the people. It was not so much about willingness but compulsion. Jesus then said in the popular Matthew 23: 23 that tithe is a not a “weightier” matter of the law like justice, mercy and faith.

"HYPOCRITES AS PRAYER WARRIORS:HOW CAN GOD HEAL NIGERIA" - OBINNA AKUKWE

In Nigeria it is prayer everywhere. The Churches, the Mosques, the Shrines, the forests, mountains, rivers, trees and every available space have been turned to prayer centers and yet the most insensitive governance is hoisted on the nation. Armed robbery, ritual killings, kidnappings, rape and injustice abounds everywhere.

Poverty, sickness, despair, frustration and attendant mediocrity, loss of confidence and resort to negative tendencies are the results of all our prayers. Now we have the newest addition, suicide bombings and reckless waste of human lives.

A lot of people of people have asked the question . Where is God when all these happens everyday?Nigerians pray all manners of prayers- 70 day fasting, 70 day deliverance, 40 day sallat, sallah fast, pilgrimage to Jerusalem, pilgrimage to Mecca and other dedicated sites of worship and yet you cannot entrust an adherent with your spouse for 24 hours.During General Sanni Abacha military regime, prayer marabous were imported from Mali, Siera-leone and Senegal when their Nigerian counterpart failed to kill NADECO with prayer.

These professional prayer warriors couldn't tell Abacha that Nigerians were tired of his dictatorship. During Olusegun Obasanjo civilian Presidency a lot of prayer warriors in the villa were busy impregnating youth corpers serving in the villa in the guise of securing permanent employment for them while the tenure elongation wanted to tear the polity. Obasanjo saw so much prayer hypocrisy that he had to resort to a combination of Africana and his faith to survive. Another group of prayer warriors have held President Goodluck hostage in the villa. They frighten him every time with gory prophecies while smiling to the banks.Everywhere people are praying. All these prayers are hypocritical prayers.

The Bible says in 2 chronicles chapter 7 vs 14 thus “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” The prerequisite for God to answer these prayers and heal Nigeria is repentance. David humbled himself when he was told by Prophet Nathan in the Bible that he had sinned. He tore his clothes and wept for many days until God had compassion. His Nigerian counterpart will do the opposite. He will travel to Jerusalem and Mecca and in the midst of the solemn ceremonies will excuse himself to co-ordinate how the next looting of government treasury will be clinically executed, and then he will get back to finish the ceremonies. Once the pilgrimage is over the Nigerian prayer warrior comes back to his church or mosque with air of answered prayers, having met the Almighty in the mountain of transfiguration. Then the poverty stricken congregation will hang around him to receive favors from him( after nights of fasting and days of salat for God to touch his heart).

God must be seriously solicited to touch the heart of the looter of public fund or else his church or mosque member will not receive any crumbs from the arrogantly distributed loot.The impoverished parishioner or mosque member knows that his religious co-member was part of the people who directly or indirectly put him in a state of poverty, insecurity, hopelessness and helplessness and therefore he equally begs God to give him the opportunity to partake of the looting of the national wealth since the congregational leader have not cared to query his thieving but important member on the source of the loot.The prayer warrior in Nigerian church or mosque is a hypocrite. Let his congregational priest or malam sermonize against sin, corruption, greed, inhumanity to man and disrespect for the feelings of others and he will get offended and leave the congregation while withdrawing his much needed funds.

However, call for prayer that all his enemies will die including the members of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Independent Corrupt Practices Commission and Justices about to reverse stolen electoral mandates and you will see all sorts of acrobatics, gymnastics, incantations, invocations and madness all in the name of prayer.There is no doubt that 'he that comes to equity must come with clean hands'. A thousand noise makers may be in a church but God hears only the ten who have decided in their heart not to follow the bandwagon if given the opportunity. If the combined prayer inertia of these ten men cannot move God or ward off the impending evil, then calamity is visited on everybody.

That is the problem the nation is having with this Boko Haram and other problems plaguing the nation.The dynamics of prayer is such that if your prayer is for personal or family matters, you could easily connect into the remote sites where the angels will attend to you on behalf of God. However, if your prayer were of general application, corporate in nature and of concern to the masses of people in your territory then another dynamics will apply. You must be sufficiently qualified before you can represent a state, region or nation in a prayer bouquet. A hypocrite could pray personal prayer and God will still answer because he is stirring personal spiritual space, however you must have enough locus standi before you stir a communal spiritual space in a prayer session. You must be potentially better than those you are praying against.

Let the Nigerian prayer warrior decide to live by the tenets of his faith which is “do unto others as you wish others do unto you” and before you raise your voice louder (even in a bush or batcher or atop mango tree) the Almighty God will answer and drive off those evil rulers who refuse to change for the better, out of our political space on their way to perdition.

"AMERICA FACES THE POSSIBILITY OF A THIRD MAJOR POLITICAL PARTY IN OUR LIFETIME"

The fight to defund Obamacare by the GOP-led Tea Party House members ended up with the GOP sustaining its most serious and the worst political damage in the last 150 years of the formation of this political party that fought for the official end of the slavery in the Southern states of America. A brand new opinion poll that was conducted by the highly respected and rated NBC News/Wall Street Journal this week showed a political party that is already highly damaged and with the lowest public rating of 24% in its entire 150 years of its political history as one of the major political parties in America. The Tea Party elements that suddenly hijacked the leadership of this party in a political revolution that took place in the mid-term elections of 2010 for the United States House of Representatives are the main political culprits behind the today's political destruction of this party in America in 2013. 

What will happen to this completely battered party in America as time goes on? Will this political party recover quickly before the mid-term elections of 2014 and the presidential election of 2016 respectively? Will this political party remain a very viable and a formidable opposition political party or a winning political party that can take the White House again in the future? Will the moderate conservative republicans in the US Congress continue to coexist and to tolerate the destructive political approach of the Tea Party radical ideologues in the GOP to the national issues that affect all or most Americans today? Will these moderate republicans attempt to politically silence these radical elements of the Tea Party in the ranks and files of the US Congress to political oblivion? Will these Tea Party elements move out of the GOP in the nearest future to form a third party for their own political relevance, survival and to continue to push their political ideologies of small or no government and less or no taxation? Only the uncontrollable power of time will surely tell us as many other different political events will continue to unfold in the American political landscape in this 21st century human universe.

WHO ARE THE TRUE BENEFICIARIES FROM THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL IN NIGERIA TODAY?

The European Christian missionary Churches:Methodist, Anglican, CMS, the Roman Catholic Church and the Southern Baptist Convention introduced colonial Nigerians into the Christian faith that had no single element or resemblance to the today's so called prosperity gospel. These Christian missionaries lived amongst their Nigerian converts and were down to earth. They enriched the life of their new communities by building Churches for the locals, by establishing schools that were affordable for the children of the locals and hospitals or clinics that the locals could afford to go whenever they were sick. 

Today, it is completely opposite in Nigeria. Our modern day prosperity preachers are now living in their own mansions in the gated communities under the watchful eyes of those stern-looking security men. They now own private jets, wear $2,000 suits, drive the state-of-the-art cars and eat the best foods that money can buy. They own schools and universities that were designed only for the rich and for profit making. The message that they preach today is all about money and materialism or how to get rich quickly with God. The millions of their devotees are living in abject poverty and in this realm of the false hope about money making and sound health. Millions of their followers continue to ignorantly give their hard earned money as tithes and offerings to these charlatans in sheep's clothing who do not look, talk, follow, act or resemble the true biblical Jesus Christ of the Bible that I know personally

In any political fight for power, policies or ideologies. A winner must always emerge at the end of the day, no matter how tough, how long, how furious and how contentious the politics of the battle may be in all reality. The battle over this OBAMACARE that is now ranging between the House-led GOP members, who are bent on defunding this health care law or delay its full implementation for a year and the Democratic controlled senate that is ready to fight to the last drop of their political life or career to see this health care law fully implemented in America. The first outcome of this initial political tussle is the federal government shutdown for the first time in 17 years and on its third day with both sides of the political divide not ready to back down or to compromise. The federal government of America is also losing about $12.5 million a day and over 800,000 federal employees are now furloughed. 

The two biggest questions in this ongoing political stalemate are simply these:(i). Which political party will blink first? and (ii). Which political party will emerge as the true winner of this political war of ideology? The answers are clearly visible for a number of reasons I have stated below:(i). Firstly, the political struggle to give all Americans an affordable health care has been the central political agenda of the democratic party for nearly 60 years. The last 7 democratic presidents of America have all attempted to pass this political agenda in the United States Congress without any headway. President Barack Obama successfully passed this affordable health care into law through the same United States Congress in the early years of his presidency. This Obamacare was challenged by the GOP in the Supreme Court of America and it was upheld. This Obamacare was the central campaign issue or message in the 2012 presidential election and the American voters reelected President Barack Obama on this Obamacare. This Obamacare is the biggest political achievement, the most pronounced signature tune or the enduring legacy of President Barack Obama's historical presidency which he will never sell out to the political pressure that is coming from the Tea Party ideologues of the GOP House members.

(ii). Secondly, this Obamacare is now officially accessible to any American without health care coverage and millions of Americans have already visited the website of this health care program to sign up for it just 3 days into its full implementation. President Barack Obama will never cancel the Obamacare that is now popularly embraced by the millions of Americans without health care insurance. To do this is going to be the biggest political disaster for the presidency. (iii). Thirdly, the entire Democratic Party members of both Houses are all united with one political voice behind the Obamacare and they are not ready either today or tomorrow to support its defunding or its delay by the GOP. (iv). Fourthly, the federal government of America cannot be shutdown perpetually and be allowed to default on its international financial obligations around the world as well as to destroy the gains of this economic recovery by the political demand of the GOP House members over the Obamacare. The GOP will eventually have to give up their unreasonable political demand on this Obamacare shortly. (v). Fifthly, the GOP House members as of today are all heavily divided along three distinct political ideologies despite their united front against the Obamacare. The House GOP members are The Tea Party ideologues, the moderate conservatives and the Christian religious rights advocates. I predict that in the next few days or weeks to come, the political stalemate in the United States Congress will be amicably resolved. How is it going to be done? I see some of these moderate conservative GOP House members and a handful of the Christian religious rights abandoning the House Speaker John Boehner and the Tea Party members of their House Caucus to work with the Democrats by putting this American nation and her citizens above their political party or agenda.
