"NIGERIA:A NATION OF HUMAN ABNORMALITIES IN THIS 21ST CENTURY UNIVERSE"

Nigeria at 53 remains a nation of official corruption, economic injustice, poverty-creation, hyper-inflation and a comfortable havens for the economic profiteers. It is only in Nigeria that an elected public official can earn the lifetime income of a highly educated university professor and researcher with international  recognition in just one year of service in the public office.

Nigeria is the only country that I know today where a university graduate with the same academic qualifications, years of experience and skills that decided to work for an oil, gas or IT sectors will earn 10-15 times the annual salary of his or her professional counterparts with the same academic credentials in the public sector employment.

Nigeria is the only country that I know today where a 5-star hotel in the central Lagos city will cost you more money than the same type of a 5-star hotel in London, Paris, Dubai, Moscow, New York or Washington, DC. Nigeria is the only country that I know today where a litre of petrol will sell for the same price as a litre of petrol in America that has an economy that is 300 times bigger than that of Nigeria and she pays a minimum wage that is 13 times more than the lowest paid Nigerian worker every hour on the job.

Nigeria is the only country that I know today in the world where a real estate that is below the international standards at Lekki Pennisula, Ikeja and Ogudu in Lagos or at Asokoro in Abuja will be more expensive than a similar property in the Downtown Baltimore Inner Harbor or in Columbus, Ohio. Nigeria is the only country that I know today where a plate of Iyan, Amala or Jollof Rice with Dodo that are locally made will be more expensive than a buffet in a Chinese restaurant in New York, London, Paris, Houston or Chicago.

Nigeria is the only country that I know today where a landlord will demand for the two years of your rent-money as an initial deposit from any prospective renters that receive their salaries once a month or on monthly basis. Nigeria is the only country that I know today where a 30 minute ride in a local taxi will cost you about 10 times for the same distance and travelled time in Lagos than in London, Washington, DC, Los Angeles or Toronto.

"BOKO HARAM:AN INSTRUMENT OF TERROR AND GENOCIDE IN NORTHERN NIGERIA"

"THE TERRORIST GROUP IN NIGERIA THAT IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE BOKO HARAM IS DIRECTLY COMMITTING AN ACT OF GENOCIDE AGAINST THE NORTHERN NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS":"The Oxford English Dictionary defines genocide as "the deliberate and systematic extermination of an ethnic or national group ...". The UN general assembly defined genocide it in 1946 as "... a denial of the right of existence of entire human gro
ups".

These are some of the violent terrorist incidents that were linked directly to Boko Haram in the Northern Nigeria against the Northern Nigerian Christians according to the data that is coming from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and was released officially in July 2012.

"This is borne out by quantitative data. Out of the 137 religious-motivated violent incidents we tracked, 88.3% were attacks on Christians, 2.9% were attacks on Muslims, attacks on security agents 4.4%, sectarian clashes 2.2% and extra-judicial killings were 2.1%. The US Terrorism report 2011 indicates a total of 136 terrorist attacks in Nigeria. It is inconceivable therefore that Muslims were the primary victims of a jihadist group whose intent is to Islamize Nigeria. This year 2012 alone, there have been 49 security incidences of which 80% have targeted Christians" - CAN.

"MUHAMMADU BUHARI:A TRUE NIGERIAN PATRIOT AND NATIONALIST IS 70 TODAY

"I came into politics because Buhari invited me, no other Nigerian could have done that. I believe in his integrity and his love for Nigeria. As a lawyer, I served under the tutelage of the late Chief Rotimi Williams and late Chief Gani Fawehinmi. As a young pastor, I worked with Pastor W.F. Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Church Min
istry and Pastor E.O. Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Buhari is the most honest Nigerian that I have ever known and worked with" - Pastor Tunde Bakare.

"Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the Supreme Military Council and as the head of the Petroleum Department was by nature taciturn and introvert. But he took any work given to him very seriously and if he failed at whatever he did, it would not be because he did not put his best, in fact, his very best. He was as reliable as he was hard working and honest" – Olusegun Obasanjo in his book titled "Not My Will", published by the University Press Limited, Ibadan, Nigeria in 1990 on its Page 59.

"The country now is in an emergency situation. Law and order can break down at any time. Those in charge of the country should be warned that promises and sweet words are no substitute for practical action. To avert the looming chaos in the New Year, immediate steps should be taken to drastically reduce the cost of governance in the three tiers of government. Salaries and especially allowances should be drastically reduced; security votes should be abolished – not increased as the 2012 Budget has done. Votes for the Armed forces, Police and Security Services should be transparent and accountable; foreign travel and estacodes should be stopped for at least six months other than for the Presidency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and medical emergencies. Government House expenses in all the states should be drastically reduced, foreign travel suspended for a while. The National Assembly should give a lead in reducing their allowances substantially and stopping their foreign travels. These savings should be applied to education, infrastructure and agriculture with emphasis on youth employment through meaningful and practical emergency programmes. The public will see through any cosmetic or token gestures and will not tolerate a continuation of status quo. Corruption and plunder are the root causes of unemployment, insecurity, violence and unrest" _ General Mohammadu Buhari in December 2011.

"SAHARA REPORTERS IS THE NUMBER ONE NEWS MEDIA IN NIGERIA TODAY"

Sahara Reporters online newspaper under the effective editorship of Omoyele Sowore remains one of the most objective, the most dependable and the most reliable news media that report primarily on the Nigeria's real and the most important issues today. Their journalists are ordinary Nigerians who are not trained.
Journalists and mass communication experts or graduate of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), but their investigative journalism stands out clearly today to be the best and most reliable amongst their equals.

Sahara Reporters have successfully reported on the many hidden official cases of mass corruption in the government circles in Nigeria loudly, openly and clearly. They were the first news media to break the news on the secret illness and the final death of the late President Yar'Adua of Nigeria and the recent death of the younger brother of the current Nigeria's President Jonathan Goodluck and many countless important news developments in Nigeria that are hidden from the ordinary Nigerians.

Sahara Reporters have also given the main Nigeria's opposition groups and personalities the much needed powerful, independent and international forum to speak out on the Nigeria's troubling issues from their different perspectives and sides. Today in Nigeria, the true impacts of the Sahara Reporters have finally reached inside the comfort of the Aso Rock and President Jonathan Goodluck of Nigeria was forced yesterday to officially and openly acknowledged the existence of Sahara Reporters.

"GUN CONTROL AND THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION IN AMERICA"

"THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION (NRA) IN THE NATIONAL POLITICS OF GUN CONTROL AND REGULATIONS IN AMERICA":The National Rifle Association (NRA) of America with membership over of almost 4 million Americans from all walks of life is the strongest political pressure group and the most powerful public defender of the America's Second Amendment Rights in the United States Constitution today.

The NRA as a nati
onal lobbying body has spent and has continued to spend millions of the US dollar in every election cycle to support the reelection or the election of the GOP local, state and federal candidates who stand publicly and openly against gun control or regulations in the hands of all Americans. The NRA also continued to lobby those right-wing politicians and the GOP members of the US Congress from ever enacting any national bill that will eventually resist, regulate and control gun ownership in America.

As long as the American citizens are passive politically and will refuse to put those necessary and effective political pressures on the NRA as an organization and the GOP members of the US Congress that benefit financially from the NRA by demanding for a national legal regulation to control every type of gun ownership in America.

Then the mass shootings or killings of innocent Americans and residents will continue unabated in the hands of these heartless and chronic mass murderers or shooters who enjoy unlimited and unresisted access as well as the legal protection under the US Constitution at the moment to own all types of guns and to use those guns for those purposes that are outside the shooting range practices, seasonal huntings and true or genuine self-defense when their precious life is actually threatened.

"THE 6 KEY QUESTIONS THAT CHINUA ACHEBE'S LAST BOOK RAISED ON THE BIAFRAN WAR IN NIGERIA"

The biggest threat in the Chinua Achebe's newest book on the Biafran war to the so called Nigeria's questionable unity today in 2012 is the fact that Chinua Achebe asked the boldest and the toughest questions about this Biafra war at the international level, such as:(i) Was the Biafran war not an act of genocide against the Igbos from all ramifications? (ii) Were Yakubu Gowon and Obafemi Awolowo
not guilty of genocide against the Igbos in the ways and in the manners that they used to prosecute this brutal war through the use of economic blockage and food starvation that led to the physical deaths of about 2-3 million of those defenseless Igbos children, women and the non-combatant men?

(iii) Has Nigeria as a nation ever truly learned any vital lessons from this brutal past? (iv) Are the present events in Nigeria today not very similar to those events of the 1960s that gave birth to the Biafran war? (v) Why is the Biafran war and its most important lessons kept away from the public or from the young Nigerians today and they are never taught in any of our public educational systems? (vi) Why did all the successive governments in Nigeria have all attempted to date to suppress the whole truth or the important information about this terrible war?

"CHINUA ACHEBE'S NEWEST BOOK ON THE BIAFRAN WAR IN NIGERIA IS CREDIBLE"

This book is a direct product of over 40 years of detailed and deep academic research that was never driven primarily for financial gains, cheap national and international recognitions or for literary awards. I consider this book after my personal perusal of it and in my own personal judgement to be one of the Bibles on the Ni
gerian state and her deep crises in the colonial and post-colonial dispensations that linger till today.

Chinua Achebe will never personally risked his own international reputation and global recognition as an icon of human literature that spans over half of a century by intentionally documenting a fabricated historical account of the history of the Nigerian state and leaving behind a shady legacy of his colorful, controversial and eventful life or times. Chinua Achebe in 2012 remained without any doubt as one of the few Nigerians in powerful and influential positions that have refused to be corrupted by the Nigerian state with her juicy political appointments, national awards, inflated contract allocations and official bribery
